Startup Weekend Iasi 16 - 18 February 2018

 Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. It is the largest community of passionate entrepreneurs with over 3000 past events in 135 countries around the world.
The non-profit organization is headquartered in Seattle, Washington but Startup Weekend organizers and facilitators can be found in over 800 cities around the world. From Mongolia to South Africa to London to Brazil, people around the globe are coming together for weekend long workshops to pitch ideas, form teams, and start companies.

All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54-hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekends culminate with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.
Whether entrepreneurs found companies, find a cofounder, meet someone new, or learn a skill far outside their usual 9-to-5, everyone is guaranteed to leave the event better prepared to navigate the chaotic but fun world of startups.

If you want to put yourself in the shoes of an entrepreneur, register now for the best weekend of your life!

Whatever you are building, our sponsors and community have put together some fantastic resources to help you build your idea:

  • Google is teaming up with Startup Weekend to help developers and entrepreneurs launch new startups. Google Cloud Platform is offering all Startup Weekend participants $300 in credits to help build web and mobile apps!
  • .CO is the domain name of choice for innovators and entrepreneurs all over the world. From startups and small businesses to big brands and multinational corporations, .CO is where big ideas belong on the Web. We are proud to offer all Startup Weekend participants access to a free .CO domain;

Alexandru Roznovat

Remember we told you that "someone" had the vision? From his bedroom, in Romania, by the end of 2013.
Well, let us introduce you to Alex, the founder and CEO of PixTeller.
Besides sharing his vision, he drives PixTeller's overall business strategy. Being a Technology lover, he started coding in high school and now he is one of the best designers and web developers out there.Along the years, he experienced both success and failures.Alex first designed PixTeller to create Picture Quotes & Posters. Then, he realised that people need a better, faster and easier tool to create graphic designs - not just for fun, but for business or commercial purposes also. This is how one of the best online design tool was born.When he is not working on building the next generation of design tools, he is most probably riding his bike in the deepest forests around, exploring the unknown (space, aliens) or spending time with his family and friends. Interesting guy, isn't he?

Ronny Bremer
Development Director

As Development Director my primary task is to design and oversee all aspects of our software products, from development standards, quality and risk management to usability and performance. Especially for clients with controlled environments like airlines, hospitals or pharmaceutical companies, maintaining the balance between long term stability and agility is crucial to the success of enterprise grade software. For my projects I focus on Identity and Access Management, Infrastructure Architecture and IT as a Factory. Using both Prince2 and Agile methods makes for an interesting daily challenge.

Since we are small teams working in various countries, building and maintaining virtual teams spanning multiple time zones, cultural differences and being comprised of distinct mentalities is crucial to our success. Choosing the right tools for communication, collaboration and establishing clearly defined processes and standards to give team members the ability to be creative at their own schedule has proven invaluable.

I love to work with people, to communicate, listen, learn, adopt. Finding an opportunity in every challenge defines me as a person. A relaxed but focused atmosphere at work is my main principle, to allow for long term success under high work loads.
