SWSG Presents: Tech Tips Thursday!

Registration for SWSG Presents: Tech Tips Thursday is now available!

SWSG Pre-event # 2: Tech Tips Thursday! Bring your brainstorms to the ocean. We'll be delving in deep to bring your ideas to the next level.

Introducing TECH TIPS THURSDAY — our second exclusive masterclass for SWSG ticket holders!

Some questions we often receive during Startup Weekend:
- Which idea should we work on?
- What do winning pitch decks look like?
- How do we validate our ideas quickly and with quality?

Get the answers at TTT! Whats more, we're bringing you tips, tricks, and techniques from industry experts with years of experience and wisdom.

Tap on their resources, Test your ideas and Take away tools to make your ideas bring a positive benefit to the public!

At this last pre-event before SWSG, you'll see an award-winning hackathon veteran and the man behind some products at GovTech.

- Jon Sugihara is the Head of Strategic Partnerships, Next Billion Users Group at Google.

His team builds products, experiences, and ideas that can scale and impact the next billion users on a global scale. He is a serial entrepreneur who has exited companies in the US & Asia, and is a well-loved mentor at Startup Weekend Singapore!

- Agrim Singh, Co-founder, Hypervalence

A serial hackathon CHAMPION with over 24 wins across >30 contests. He's been a developer, project manager, consultant, founder, and mentor. His latest big win was getting flown to Miami to personally pitch to Pitbull, emerging as Champion in a blockchain music challenge! He'll be sharing his findings, tips and tricks to winning in the intense 54-hour experience of SWSG!

- Li Hongyi, Deputy Director of GovTech.

He's been instrumental in redesigning Data.gov and led the team that brought you the amazing parking.sg! An MIT graduate and previous Project Manager at Google, we can only dream of what wisdom he'll infuse to the participants at pre-event 2! To those who are looking to build great products, you're definitely in good hands.

Jon Sugihara
Head of Strategic Partnerships, Next Billion Users Group, Google

Jon is a serial entrepreneur having started and exited companies in the US and Asia. His passion is for building companies to identify product market fit in the shortest time possible. Jon has mentored dozens of startups and is an advisor at Monk's Hill Ventures. His hope is to see the tech eco-system mature in the region. Jon is currently the Head of Strategic Partnerships, Next Billion Users Group at Google.

Agrim Singh
Co-founder, HyperValence

Upbeat, articulate and socially savvy, Agrim Singh is an absolute far cry from the stereotypical awkward portrait of a hacker. In fact, he has won so many hackathons that he is now barred from competing in certain events such as Startathon, and is asked to mentor competitors instead.

One of Agrim’s most savoured wins was clinched at Tech-in-Asia’s startup hackathon in 2014, where his team proposed a virtual pub social sharing platform for Manchester United’s Southeast Asian fanbase. Another memorable win was at Budweiser's Dream Brewery Hackathon in February, where his team built a drunk detector and also pitched for a machine that is able read personalities, choosing to dispense alcohol according to certain profiles.
