Startup weekend is coming back to east side of Slovakia fifth time in a row, when many of promising entrepreneurs will test their endurance and enthusiasm during 54 hours.
Startup weekend Košice 2017 has opened the doors. Whoever can join and share ideas, build the team and start real startup. No matter the age or the profession everyone is welcome. Only one thing is important - zeal for now things and desire to learn. Silicon Valley isn´t the only one place on Earth where its possible to start great business. Lets prove together to the world that Košice as the metropolis of the East harbors a huge potential.

Jaroslav Luptak
Investment manager at Neulogy Ventures
Jaro is a co-founder and investment manager at Neulogy Ventures, Slovak largest venture capital firm. He currently serves as the member of supervisory board of several companies, including InHiro, Vectray and CropTech. He also works as an external expert employed by the European Commission, to select the most promising European high-tech startups for the Horizon 2020 program. In 2011, Jaro co-founded StartupAwards.SK, the annual competition for Slovak high-tech startups, which soon turned into the largest startup event in Slovakia. Jaro also managed the first Slovak incubation program in Silicon Valley at the Plug&Play Tech Center.

Jej úlohou je zabezpečiť, aby všetky vedomosti, zručnosti a kontakty prispeli k rastu podniku najefektívnejším možným spôsobom.Sona vyrástla na Cypre a študovala Communication Studies v Belgicku. Počas štúdií stážovala a ukončila študijný program v nemeckej v automobilovej spoločnosti. Po dokončení štúdia, spolu s bratom založila startup, kde bola zodpovedná za marketingovú stratégiu, potom pôsobila ako komunikačný špecialista pre top marketingovú športovú značku.

Program for Starting Entrepreneurs, Slovenská sporiteľňa
Tigran is coordinating the program of Slovenská sporiteľňa aimed to support starting businesses (www.zacinamepodnikat.sk). Together with regional specialists he helps starting entrepreneurs to plan their business and finances, verify customers and suppliers, as well as test ideas and products on very first clients. Since 2015 hundreds of businesses have received bank financing, while many other have been advised not to start their business at all or close it down. Previously Tigran coordinated various projects, competitions and events to support development volunteering, NGOs, and SMEs (SBA, Slovak NGDO Platform, GLEN Slovakia, European SME Week, Global Education Week, Development Day to name some).These are the topics that he could be useful with.
Radovan Ondáš

Rado is working for Elastic (https://www.elastic.co/),
the company behind the popular open source projects Elasticsearch,
Kibana, Logstash, and Beats. He is working as an Engineer supporting
customers around the world with their projects and ideas. Working in an
open and distributed company with employees in 32 countries can help you
to understand how sucessfull opensource company can work and its
software suceed.
He

using his previous experiences in Middleware world and Development past.

Lenka worked as a project manager and coordinator in
several private companies, but also as a project manager and head of
marketing department at Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency.

Peter Šoltés

Peter Soltes started his on-line start-up when he was
18 and was working on on-line marketing even sooner. He combines on-line
marketing knowledge with entrepreneurialism. He is now CEO of on-line
marketing agency Promiseo, that delivers services to wide range of
companies from small start-ups in their beginnings to large stock-listed
companies.

Michal Hladký
Creative Industry Kosice
Was born in Košice, Slovakia in 1981, graduated architecture in 2007 at the Technical University of Košice, Faculty of Arts. Where he now teaches as well. He is concept author of the Interface 2013 project and he also collaborated on the winning bid document of Košice 2013 European Capital of Culture. From 2008 he works for Košice 2013, NGO where he was responsible for investment projects and creative industries development projects. Since 2014 he is director of the Kosice 2013, NGO which now is concidered as legacy project of ECoC 2013. He is executive board member of European Creative Business Network and founding partner of the Insitute for Creative Economy. He represented Slovakia in OMC groupe for export and internationalistion of culture and creative sectors. In 2009 he has co-founded and became Minister of panic in civic association Východné Pobrežie, which operates in the field of culture, urban life and development. It organizes such events like Pecha Kucha Night Košice, public debates, lectures and also published alternative guide for Košice KSC Code.

Daniel
acts as a CTO for Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia. In the past, he built
and led the development team of the German company Adlodge / Novosense,
which developed online advertising solutions and sophisticated user
targeting. He also participated in the launch of the Bratislava branch
of the British company VisualDNA. He believes in the agile way of
managing - designing and implementing Internet systems and services. He
is fascinated by people and technology - they bring unseen
opportunities, their equality and thus the possibility to improve
people's lives. In addition to software development, he is interested in
data sciences, behavioral economics, and psychology. He likes good
books and skiing. In his free time he is co-organizer of SWZA and
organizer of the community meetings WebUP in Žilina.

He is head of Sparklab, an incubator that aims to find and mentor startups that can potentially be a partner for NN. co-founded event company, co-founded Klub Investorov club and attend to
various business competitions. Peťo as part of the KPMG has been
involved in preparing financial models, management

has joined KPMG in 2016 as an Assistant at Audit for various industries
and since 2017 is at M&A services as member of
Selling side team. Oto as part of the KPMG has been involved in
preparing financial models and pitch-decks. Before KPMG, Oto has been
working as Key Account Manager at Procter & Gamble where was
responsible for fulfilling revenues targets.
