Startup weekend is coming back to east side of Slovakia fifth time in a row, when many of promising entrepreneurs will test their endurance and enthusiasm during 54 hours.
Startup weekend Košice 2017 has opened the doors. Whoever can join and share ideas, build the team and start real startup. No matter the age or the profession everyone is welcome. Only one thing is important - zeal for now things and desire to learn. Silicon Valley isn´t the only one place on Earth where its possible to start great business. Lets prove together to the world that Košice as the metropolis of the East harbors a huge potential.

Jaroslav Luptak
Investment manager at Neulogy Ventures

 Jaro is a co-founder and investment manager at Neulogy Ventures, Slovak largest venture capital firm. He currently serves as the member of supervisory board of several companies, including InHiro, Vectray and CropTech. He also works as an external expert employed by the European Commission, to select the most promising European high-tech startups for the Horizon 2020 program. In 2011, Jaro co-founded StartupAwards.SK, the annual competition for Slovak high-tech startups, which soon turned into the largest startup event in Slovakia. Jaro also managed the first Slovak incubation program in Silicon Valley at the Plug&Play Tech Center.


Soňa Nyitrayová
KPMG

Soňa predstavuje spojenie medzi startup ekosystémom a odbornými znalosťami a skúsenosťami zo siete KPMG. Jej úlohou je zabezpečiť, aby všetky vedomosti, zručnosti a kontakty prispeli k rastu podniku najefektívnejším možným spôsobom.Sona vyrástla na Cypre a študovala Communication Studies v Belgicku. Počas štúdií stážovala a ukončila študijný program v nemeckej v automobilovej spoločnosti. Po dokončení štúdia, spolu s bratom založila startup, kde bola zodpovedná za marketingovú stratégiu, potom pôsobila ako komunikačný špecialista pre top marketingovú športovú značku.
Soňa disponuje veľa nápadmi a miluje ich prepájanie. Je neustále kreatívna a otvorená.

Tigran Aleksanyan
Slovenská sporiteľňa

Tigran coordinates the program by which Slovenská sporiteľňa supports start-up entrepreneurs (www.zacinamepodnikat.sk) and those, who are not interesting for big investors. In addition to financing, he also helps clients to develop a business plan, set up cash flow and verify business partners. He also runs association GLEN Slovakia, which trains and sends young volunteers on internships and helps people laugh, often without reason :)




Radovan Ondáš
Elastic

Rado is working for Elastic (https://www.elastic.co/), the company behind the popular open source projects Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, and Beats. He is working as an Engineer supporting customers around the world with their projects and ideas. Working in an open and distributed company with employees in 32 countries can help you to understand how sucessfull opensource company can work and its software suceed. 
He can also help you with the design of your application architecture using his previous experiences in Middleware world and Development past. He is contributing to open source projects in his free time.

Martin Hasiček
T-Systems Slovakia

Martin works as Head of Automation, Strategy and Innovation Centre for T-Systems Slovakia s.r.o. During his carrier Martin took several leading technical positions in ICT and software development area in Europe, US and Asia.
Martin will be able to support you in consult your initial idea, trough design and development of your application, up to topics of deployment, security and sizing of your production environment.



Michal Kacerik
CTO at SaferPass

Michal as CTO at SaferPass (US founded startup) leads the product and distribution team. He is also co-founder of BeeSafe - personal mobile safety application, which won Startup Weekend Zilina 2013.
Active in the Slovak startup scene, regular Startup Weekend mentor and mentor at Pioneers festival.
Has experience in digital marketing, consumer software distribution, performance marketing, software engineering and digital security.

Lenka Strmeňová

Lenka worked as a project manager and coordinator in several private companies, but also as a project manager and head of marketing department at Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency. She is skilled in the Project Cycle Management, planning, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluating of the projects as well as in networking, consortia negotiation and coordination of EU projects.

Peter Šoltés
Promiseo

Peter Soltes started his on-line start-up when he was 18 and was working on on-line marketing even sooner. He combines on-line marketing knowledge with entrepreneurialism. He is now CEO of on-line marketing agency Promiseo, that delivers services to wide range of companies from small start-ups in their beginnings to large stock-listed companies.

Can help you with: Communication, presentation, marketing, acquisition and retention, attracting the masses or just getting the first customers on board.


Michal Hladký
Creative Industry Kosice

Was born in Košice, Slovakia in 1981, graduated architecture in 2007 at the Technical University of Košice, Faculty of Arts. Where he now teaches as well.  He is concept author of the Interface 2013 project and he also collaborated on the winning bid document of Košice 2013 European Capital of Culture. From 2008 he works for Košice 2013, NGO where he was responsible for investment projects and creative industries development projects. Since 2014 he is director of the Kosice 2013, NGO which now is concidered as legacy project of ECoC 2013.  He is executive board member of European Creative Business Network and founding partner of the Insitute for Creative Economy. He represented Slovakia in OMC groupe for export and internationalistion of culture and creative sectors. In 2009 he has co-founded and became Minister of panic in civic association Východné Pobrežie,  which operates in the field of culture, urban life and development. It organizes such events like Pecha Kucha Night Košice, public debates, lectures and also published alternative guide for Košice KSC Code.



Matej Loncko
Senior UX Designer & owner at UP

Matej is making small and big ideas alive for clients from all around the world. In the last 10 years he finished many of contract projects and several of his own. 
He loves his family, taking pictures, good music and, of course, playing with Lego 


Daniel Harcek
CTO @ Azet

Daniel acts as a CTO for Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia. In the past, he built and led the development team of the German company Adlodge / Novosense, which developed online advertising solutions and sophisticated user targeting. He also participated in the launch of the Bratislava branch of the British company VisualDNA. He believes in the agile way of managing - designing and implementing Internet systems and services. He is fascinated by people and technology - they bring unseen opportunities, their equality and thus the possibility to improve people's lives. In addition to software development, he is interested in data sciences, behavioral economics, and psychology. He likes good books and skiing. In his free time he is co-organizer of SWZA and organizer of the community meetings WebUP in Žilina.





Barbora Ruščin

Barbora works as a Employer Branding Senior Consultant @ Deutsche Telekom for Slovakia & Czech Republic.  Having spend most of her professional life in PR/mark-comms and project management, she has experience in crafting communication strategies, doing market research & leading projects. Having been also extensively exposed to the world of the IP rights, competitive forensic debate, political science & diplomacy, highly diverse markets and communities, as well as the entertainment industry, she claims to be able to help you dig to the very bottom of your capabilities and assist with creating all forms of disruptive strategies for pitching, shall the quality of your business endeavour create a shadow of a doubt over your entrepreneurial self.

Steven Sudy
NN Insurance Hungary

Steve is Entrepreneur in Residence at NN Insurance Hungary, in charge of fostering innovation within the company. He is head of Sparklab, an incubator that aims to find and mentor startups that can potentially be a partner for NN. Steve has 6 years experience with startups as a startup founder and mentor in many events including Pioneers Festival, WebSummit and The World Bank Investment Readiness Program, among others.


Dušan Kocurek
Agile@Slovakia

Head of agile consultancy unit and chief product owner at ScrumDesk.
Mentor who helps implement Agile, Scrum, Kanban and Lean practices. He designed and supported dozens of agile adaptation/transformation programs in CEE, UK and US companies. As part of such transitions He does training, (de)mentoring and coaching of agile teams, product owners, ScrumMasters and management teams.
Founder of Agile@Slovakia group, local Slovakian group that supports agile movement and community. Events manager, trainer. Active speaker.

Slavomir Hruska is an entrepreneur and Managing Director of an innovative translation and localization company called Localization guru. He is interested in new technologies, evolving markets and business development with a focus on thinking outside of the box. Ľubomír Lukič

Peter Múčka
M&A Analyst

Peťo has joined KPMG in 2016 as Trainee at Valuation services team while still attending on City University of Seattle, in Bratislava. He was COO in Virtual Enterprise class while studying in USA winning best promotional strategy and during his studies, he co-founded event company, co-founded Klub Investorov club and attend to various business competitions.  Peťo as part of the KPMG has been involved in preparing financial models, management presentations for several companies in various industries. Recently, he works mostly in M&A and Valuation team as direct support on transactions and deals.  



Oto Karas
M&A Analyst

Oto has joined KPMG in 2016 as an Assistant at Audit for various industries and since 2017 is at M&A services as member of Selling side team. Oto as part of the KPMG has been involved in preparing financial models and pitch-decks. Before KPMG, Oto has been working as Key Account Manager at Procter & Gamble where was responsible for fulfilling revenues targets.

Marek Lavčák

Marek is young and enthusiastic startup lover. He 's been working with startup community at the eastern part of Slovakia since 2013 as a co-founder of startup incubator in Košice and organizer of startup weekend Košice. As a mentor he is skilled at areas of marketing and business development. Currently is working as a communications projects manager with focus on employer branding and CEO of startup Floppy.
