Kanishka started his first company at age 19, and second venture at age 24. Professional career includes being Head of IT at a subsidiary of Landmark Group, Dubai and CIO of Laugfs Holdings. Eventually he ventured into his own businesses. His recent startup "PayMedia" won the Gold award as the National Best Software Quality awards 2015 for running a company with 3 employers supporting 3 large local banks, 2 Finance Institutes and 180 telecommunication companies globally. He was the Most Valuable ICT entrepreneur of the year in 2015.


Indulekha Nanayakkara
Social Media Strategic Consultant & Country Lead, WomenWill

One of the leading industry experts and thought leaders in social media marketing, Indu has more than 10 years of experience in the industry and 6 years of digital agency experience as the Head of Digital Marketing team at Loops Solutions. She has worked with hundreds of different brands and companies, both local and overseas with every aspect of digital marketing such as social media strategy, content marketing, social media campaigns, community management, digital advertising solutions, crisis management and much more.

Yasisurie Kiribandara
Head Designer/Founder, Yasisurie Pvt Ltd

From launching her initial collection at CFW 2014, winning the Gen Next award, representing her country at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2016 at Stanford (USA) amidst top global entrepreneurs, attending a regional seminar and sharing her journey, and being featured in the international and local press, Yasisurie has accumulated a wealth of experiences. Following her passion for fashion, design and helping people, she also trains ladies from lower income groups in special sewing techniques. Being an entrepreneur is something she encourages as it gives you the ability to spread your light. She is looking forward to encouraging anyone daring to walk this path.


Yusra Aziz-Eliyas
Founder

Starting her career in the IT industry, originally as a Business Consultant at Virtusa, Yusra left the industry due to family commitments and didn’t return to the traditional
work system as she wanted to take care of her children. She saw a need to ‘Empower Sri
Lankans’ and ‘Empower Sri Lankan Women’ by creating the largest independent
workforce across the island and founded PODI JOBS- Sri Lanka’s First Freelance
Platform.

Chalinda Abeykoon
Startup Evangelist & CEO, Crowdisland

Chalinda is a seasoned start-up evangelist and a start-up incubator strategist who acted as the key executionist in launching Sri Lanka’s first government-funded incubator and the country’s first industry-focused accelerator in 2010 & 2014 respectively. Currently, Chalinda heads Crowdisland, Sri Lanka’s first equity crowd funding platform. Crowdisland hopes to provide an avenue for start-ups to secure seed funding to unleash their true potential.


Dulith Herath
Founder/CEO, Kapruka

Dulith Herath is a Sri Lankan entrepreneur. He is the founder and chairman of Sri Lanka's largest e-commerce organization, kapruka.com, and the co-founder of Grasshoppers Pvt. Ltd. which provides logistics to small enterprises in Sri Lanka. Herath received an Eisenhower Fellowship for his project Grasshopper.
After graduation, he worked with Microsoft. While working at Microsoft, Herath founded Kapruka.com in February 2002. Kapruka was started with the idea of helping expats buy things in Sri Lanka. In 2016, Herath along with Harsha Liyanage started logistics provider Grasshoppers Pvt. Ltd. This project was seed funded by AFF (www.aavishkaar.in) and recognized by United Nations as an enabler for e-commerce in developing countries.


Fayaz Hudah
Business Coach/Entrepreneur

Fayaz Hudah is a business coach and entrepreneur involved with several startups and initiatives. Formerly, he headed the Private Sector Program at ICTA and founded Spiralation, the tech startup accelerator. Fayaz has an MBA in e-Governance from the University of Moratuwa and a BSc in Computing and Information Systems from the University of London.


Sachindra Samararatne
Program Manager - Industry Development, ICTA

Sachindra Samararatne joined the industry development program of ICTA in 2010. He is currently the Program Manager of the Industry Development Program of ICTA which overlooks programs such as country branding, business promotions, national startup initiatives, industry knowledge enhancement programs and career guidance programs. He has a Master’s in Business Administration, Bachelors in Information Technology and a Bachelors in Business Administration. He is also a Microsoft Certified Professional. His areas of expertise are Country Branding and Career Guidance. Sachindra also serves on the board of a Christian non-profit organization and on the board of his family owned business.

Joe Lenora
Director and Head of Design - We Are Designers

Joe has been involved with the Web and Digital Media Industry for over 17 years in Sri Lanka and overseas. Upon his return to Sri Lanka in 1999, Joe joined one of the two major web based solution providers in the island at that time. In 2001, he set up Kent Academy of Digital Science, the only Adobe Authorized Academy in Sri Lanka as part of the Kent Holdings group.  At the age of 27, Joe founded “We Are Designers” in 2005, and spearheaded the 35+ member team to achieve success over the past 12 years in providing cutting edge digital solutions for companies in Sri Lanka and overseas.


Michael Moonesinghe
CEO of Business Hubs Sri Lanka

Michael Moonesinghe is the Founder & CEO of Glover Daniels International, a human capital consultancy firm based in Colombo, which provides international head hunting, leadership & development training and HR consultancy to companies both locally and globally. Michael was born and bred in the UK and was an enthused serial entrepreneur who started a number of different businesses in his career. In January 2010, He moved Glover Daniels to Sri Lanka to identify the true potential Sri Lanka could offer and it was one of the first completely owned foreign businesses to move here after the catastrophic war. Michael is a well known contributor to the Sri Lankan start-up eco system. He started a network of business hubs to enable entrepreneurs, startups and early stage companies to have access to low cost and flexible, quality office accommodation. Michael is passionate about the startup opportunities that Sri Lanka offers and truly believes that world class innovative businesses could come from Sri Lanka.


Nevindaree Premarathne
Project Officer, ICTA

Nevindaree is a Project Officer of the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka in the Industry Development Program. While primarily working on the Tech Startup Support Program designing and implementing programs for the betterment of the startup ecosystem in Sri Lanka, she also works on the All Children Coding program, the schools maker spaces program and the digital social entrepreneurship program. Formerly a tech lead at Informatics International, Nevindaree has a Bachelors in software engineering, an MBM from the University of Colombo and is also PMP certified. 


Roshaan Ranasinghe
Founder, Tribefunds

Roshaan Ranasinghe is the founder of Tribefunds, a Sri Lankan crowdfunding platform dedicated to showcasing local projects and seeks to encourage funding from the general public and expatriates. He also founded Gradient Alliance a management consultancy offering financial services for small  and medium industries. He is a graduate in Finance from the University of Aston, UK and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Roshaan has also completed all levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programme.He counts over 10 years of experience in investment research and financial advisory services including business valuations, formulating business plans and information memorandums.


Sajini Jayawardena
Innovation Consultant & Google Business Group Manager

Sajini specializes in devising Marketing and Innovation Strategies for local and international businesses, coaching startups and consulting to a variety of SMEs and large organizations on diversification and digital strategies. Alongside her work as a consultant, startup coach and community manager, she is also a basketball player, sketch artist and pianist. Sajini has an MSc in Strategic Marketing from Imperial College London and a BSc from the London School of Economics.


Sanjiv Ahangama
Director, Third Lane Ventures (Pvt) Ltd

Sanjiv Ahangama, is currently the Managing Director at Third Lane Ventures, a Sri Lankan based Venture Capital firm. He is also the Co-Founder of Elixir Pressed Juices. Sanjiv has previously been involved in several startups based in Australia & Singapore. In addition to establishing an incubator for University students in Sydney, Australia. Further, he has previous experience working at hedge funds & trading financial instruments. Sanjiv holds a Master of Finance degree and a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia.

Ziyam is the Founder/CEO of WinSYS Networks, Coding College and Startup School Sri Lanka. Specialized in Computer Networking, Security, Virtualization and Cloud.
