Sachindra Samararatne
Program Manager - Industry Development, ICTA

Sachindra Samararatne joined the industry development program of ICTA in 2010. He is currently the Program Manager of the Industry Development Program of ICTA which overlooks programs such as country branding, business promotions, national startup initiatives, industry knowledge enhancement programs and career guidance programs. He has a Master’s in Business Administration, Bachelors in Information Technology and a Bachelors in Business Administration. He is also a Microsoft Certified Professional. His areas of expertise are Country Branding and Career Guidance. Sachindra also serves on the board of a Christian non-profit organization and on the board of his family owned business.

Nithushan Uthayakumar
Co-Founder & COO at BLUELOTUS 360

Nithushan co-founded Good Seats, a non-profit start-up, which came third in Google Hackathon London. He also got the attention of Virgin Group Founder Sir Richard Branson through Pitch to Rich Program, while he was a 3rd year undergraduate student in the UK. After moving to Sri Lanka, he co- founded yet another start-up called BLUELOTUS 360 which offers a one stop hub for all the ERP needs of Construction and Manufacturing companies


Vimukthi Liyanage
Founder - Mogo.lk

Vimukthi Liyanage is an Entrepreneur, Tech Blogger and UX Engineer with more than 7 years of experience. He is the CEO and founder of Mogo Solutions Private Limited which focuses on providing wide range of software solutions for local and global IT industry. Mogo Solutions is the company behind the “Mogo Super”, an online supermarket which provides services to corporate and regular grocery shoppers in Sri Lanka.



Ahamed Nishadh
Project Manager, ICTA

Ahamed is a Project Manager of the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka in the Industry Development Program and manages the technology startup support program since 2014. He has implemented a wide range of projects in support of the startup ecosystem in Sri Lanka and is also the co-founder of Disrupt Asia, Sri Lanka's premier startup conference and expo. He has a range of experience in working with startups on a variety of domains while running the Spiralation accelerator program of ICTA and is also involved in many startup initiatives in the country. Out of office, he is also part of the team that organizes TEDxColombo which is the oldest and largest TEDx event in Sri Lanka and also TEDxYouth@Colombo among many other volunteer programs.


Nevindaree Premarathne
Project Officer, ICTA

Nevindaree is a Project Officer of the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka in the Industry Development Program. While primarily working on the Tech Startup Support Program designing and implementing programs for the betterment of the startup ecosystem in Sri Lanka, she also works on the All Children Coding program, the schools maker spaces program and the digital social entrepreneurship program. Formerly a tech lead at Informatics International, Nevindaree has a Bachelors in software engineering, an MBM from the University of Colombo and is also PMP certified. 


Aloka Gunasekara
Program Manager - StartupX Foundry

Aloka is at the intersection of strategic leadership, startup building, product development and business growing. He is a skilled digital product manager with a strong startup background.

Currently he heads Sri Lanka’s first venture builder, StartupX Foundry.

Aloka has a illustrious background in strategic planning, stakeholder management, product management, digital marketing, team building, operations management and business development.


Mohammed Fawaz
CEO - Studyla / Global Tutor, GSEA Local Chair - Sri Lanka at Entrepreneurs' Organization

Fawaz is a Multi-faceted professional with 5 years of experience working in international business development environments (BPO, KPO, and Outsourcing Modules). He has immense industry experience in strategy and business development across consulting, Academics, and Business Analysis, as well as Innovation management.


Ziyam Abdeen
Chairman at WinSYS Networks (Pvt) Ltd

Ziyam is the Founder/CEO of WinSYS Networks, Coding College and Startup School Sri Lanka. Specialized in Computer Networking, Security, Virtualization and Cloud. A Motivational Speaker who is representing Sri Lanka in APNIC and Internet Society Programs and now spending more time with Internet Policies and IT Governance.


Sharanyan Sharma



Tharindu Dassanayake
Founder/CEO, SquareMobile

Tharindu is the Founder/CEO of ShoutOUT Labs, a Sri Lankan telecoms startup. He is also a Director of Founder Institute in Sri Lanka. Tharindu has participated in international startup events including 4YFN and InnovFest Unbound. He has also been a mentor/speaker for different startup events and hackathons in Sri Lanka. 


Sharanyan Sharma
Founder at Extreme-Seo.net

Sharanyan Sharma is an award winning entrepreneur as well as the Founder of Extreme SEO Internet Solutions, 7Arena Technologies and Privilegeserver.com. He is an award winning Sri Lankan Entrepreneur and Enterprise Asia awarded him as one of the Emerging Young Entrepreneurs in Sri Lanka. He is passionate about startups and building digital communities around the world. Sharanyan is the Local Community Leader for Startup Weekend Sri Lanka. Sharanyan is a Certified Digital marketing Trainer and Consultant by profession, Passionate about Web Analytics, Conversion rate optimization and advanced growth hacking strategies. He’s been cited by major publications like Inc.com, Yourstory.com and readme.lk. Not bad for a college dropout.

Kanishka Weeramunda
Founder, PayMedia

Kanishka started his first company at age 19, and second venture at age 24. Professional career includes being Head of IT at a subsidiary of Landmark Group, Dubai and CIO of Laugfs Holdings. Eventually he ventured into his own businesses. His recent startup "PayMedia" won the Gold award as the National Best Software Quality awards 2015 for running a company with 3 employers supporting 3 large local banks, 2 Finance Institutes and 180 telecommunication companies globally. He was the Most Valuable ICT entrepreneur of the year in 2015.
