Calling entrepreneurs, hackers, dreamers, change makers and catalysts: change the world in 54 hours!

Innovator ? Developer ? Entrepreneur?  Designer ? Positive thinker ? Next Elon Musk ?
  • You have a FinTech idea and looking for talented team members to kickstart it?
  • You've got talent and want to make the world a better place just in 54h?
  • You want to learn how to turn a blurry idea in your head into a unicorn company?
Come, pitch an idea, join a team, iron out your business model, and build away!
Mentors and coaches will help you to learn where to start, how to build a MVP and launch your startup!

Why FinTech?
The startup movement has accelerated growth in many cities and global industries, and fintech is one the most exciting and rapidly developing industries in the world! Stockholm is now one of the EU’s biggest hubs for Fintech investments, and it is the city in Europe that has attracted the second most investments over the last five years!
Our goal for this event is to connect people who are passionate and want to tackle the tough challenges in the financial and fintech industries, all while learning-by-doing, firsthand, what makes a business and an idea successful.

Don't know anything/not interested in FinTech? No problem  - ALL THE IDEAS ARE WELCOME!

How does Startup Weekend work:
All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54-hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekends culminate with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.

Fashion, Advertising, IT tech support, 16 years of Business change in Financial Services. I’m passionate about change, personal, collective, collaborative, sustainable and socially focussed change. In the end, it doesn’t matter to me what you call it, innovation, disruption, experimentation, learning, these are just words – in the end what are we collectively doing together to make our world one of peace, harmony and opportunities for all. ‘Fintech disruption’ could end up being a large red herring to bigger concerns, if we don’t consider the ‘inconvenient truths’ of a wider context, that of the ecosystem (environmental and social), in which we ‘all’ operate. Let’s do it!! Let’s change the world for the better together!
