Come, pitch an idea, join a team, iron out your business model, and build away! We will help you to learn how to build prototypes and launch startups that use hardware or software to interconnect us all and change the world. 

Don't know anything/not interested in IoT/HW? No problem  - ALL THE IDEAS ARE WELCOME! 

We will provide you with the IoT development kits, maker tools and materials plus guidance and training from our expert maker mentors. The possibilities of what can be created during the weekend are just about endless. So, what are you waiting for?

Jimmy Zhao
CEO

Jimmy Zhao is the CEO and founder of Lunchback, winner of Startup Weekend of March last year. He is a passionate entrepreneur who is dedicated and committed to promoting a global revolution where people inspire one another and build 'guanxi' over lunch. His only mission is to help people to establish deep and meaningful connection so that they can achieve what they are truly passionate about in their life. He is also an inspirational public speaker who gave talks about entrepreneurship, lean startup and inception marketing based on his own experience who has been there and done that.


Per Brickstad
INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER

Co-founder and industrial designer at PeoplePeople, Per Brickstad is the mastermind behind the design of IOT innovations Narrative and Flic



Håkan Lidbo

Håkan Lidbo has released more than 250 records on labels all over the World. Musically stretching from obscure sonic experiments to straight up pop on labels like Shitkatapult, Pokerflat, SKAM, Tommy Boy, Mille Plateaux, Force Inc, Fragile, Paper, Loaded, Skint, Plastic City, Frogman, Tigerbass, Mitek, Data Error , MNW,  Moon Harbour, Kant, Moody, Ministry Of Sound and many others.
He has produced and remixed artists like Fatboy Slim,  Depeche Mode, Yello, Kool Keith, Trentemøller, Gravitonas, Fever Ray, Jonna Lee, Sophie Ellis Bexter, Andreas Tilliander, Ennio Morricone, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Karl-Heinz Stockhausen, Martha And The Muffins, Si Begg and many  others.
Håkan also hosts Ström, the electronica program on Swedish Radio, and arranges the new electronic music festival

Petra Sundström
Sr Project Manager, Connectivity Hub Husqvarna

Former Researcher, skilled in Mobility and IoT. Holds a Computer Science background shaped by PhD studies in the User-Centred Design direction. Has worked with various larger companies such as IKEA, ABB, Microsoft Research, Ericsson, and Nokia.
Craftsmanship and leadership experience across the entire product design & development cycle. Now at Husqvarna Group responsible for Connectivity and IoT strategy, roadmap and planning.


Jakob Johansson

Jakob is the CEO of Gleechi, the company behind the award-winning software solution Virtual Grasp. Jakob has been awarded one of Sweden's smartest young entrepreneurs and has several years of experience from launching technology and entertainment products on the European markets. Jakob has a master degree in Industrial Engineering and Computer Science, and has professional experiences from London, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Helsinki and Stockholm. 


Tuomas Lonka
Marketing & Digital Strategy Consultant, Previously Marketing Director Rovio

Tuomas is an experienced brand marketer with core competence in marketing communications, ranging from leading large-scale integrated 360 campaigns to digital & mobile marketing and concept design. Tuomas has extensive experience from local and global marketing functions of industry-leading companies such as Rovio (Marketing Director) and Nokia (Head of Marketing, Finland & Baltics), and also hands-on experience in leading creative teams on the agency side. Most recently, he led the launch of Angry Birds 2 - the biggest mobile game launch in 2015 - that reached over 30M downloads worldwide in the first two weeks.


Sune Kaae
Head of Product Innovation & Prototyping @Great Works

Sune has a long history of building & launching digital experiences, and before moving to Stockholm he spent 3 years working with R/GA in NYC building Nike's digital products incl FuelBand, Sportwatch and the Running app. Sune also worked with the premiere US fitness club, Equinox, and often blogs about his hands-on experience with quantified-self fitness hardware & software. Andy Cars

Andy Cars is the founder of Seedcap AB, a consultancy based in Stockholm that provides advice to tech start-ups on strategy, business development, fundraising and lean start-up. These skills are currently being employed within VINNOVA's Information and Communications Technology division (Sweden's Innovation Agency) where my passions for entrepreneurs, technology and leadership are fully engaged most every day. 


Marwan Ayache
External Relations Manager and the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship

Marwan is a theoretical entrepreneur and pitch language militant with a background in English language / linguistics. He's mentored over half a dozen Startup Weekends and over fifty startups in the process. In his free time he enjoys swimming in the deep end of the Stockholm startup scene. His fanaticism for the English language and love for startup culture means he's the perfect person to tell you how to debug your English code and pitch your way to galactic supremacy.


Hanna Markgren
Co-Founder / Design Strategist at Leeluu

Hanna Markgren is an industrial designer specializing in user-centred design and design strategy. She is a co-founder of LeeLuu Labs, a startup that makes the digital world more tangible through Smart Textiles. LeeLuu Labs first product is a soft interactive nightlight that helps kids feel safer at night. The LeeLuu Nightlight was designed in collaboration with families. It uses Smart Textile technology to create a tactile and intuitive user experience for children.

Category Innovation Manager at MediaMarkt

Tahero Nori identifies the latest innovations in the market as well as defines new product segments and finds their fit in the retail. He will advice on go-to market plan and will give retail perspective.


Ahmed AlNomany
Partner and Deputy CEO at Inkonova AB

 Inkonova AB, the engineering design startup that develops TILT Drones, one of the fastest on earth. Working in over eight industries from oil & gas, steel structures to healthcare, and over nine countries from Seoul to San Francisco, passing through Lagos and many others, and launching over three startups, Ahmed brings to the table management consultancy, business development and entrepreneurial expertise, coupled with his engineering design background. His professional goal is to alleviate human suffering through innovative and profitable products and service. Ahmed holds a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering with focus on Aerospace, Robotics and Design from Iowa State University in IA, U.S. 


Andrew Hennigan
Lecturer, Speaker Coach, Writer


A Startup Weekend Stockholm mentor since 2015, Andrew Hennigan is based in Stockholm and founded his first consulting company in 2007. He speaks mostly about communicating innovative ideas, influencing skills for entrepreneurs, high-impact speaking for busy people and professional networking for entrepreneurs. Recently he done lectures, seminars and workshops  at the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship, Impact Invest, Hyper Island,  Karolinska Institutet, Chalmers University, Lund University and many corporate clients. He is a speaker coach at TEDxStockholm since 2015 and has been a pitch coach or mentor at Startup Weekend Stockholm and Create Squared. As a writer he does some freelance journalism and ghost-writes speeches, articles and books for other people. He has also written a book about professional networking and is currently working on two other book projects.
