Do you have an idea you'd like to pursue or a problem you'd like to solve but don't know where to start or who to start with?   Techstars Startup Weekend is the place to look for a team, create a prototype of your idea, validate your business idea, and receive feedback from experienced entrepreneurs, all in one weekend.   What do you need to bring?   Lots of energy! You'll pitch your own idea or listen to others, then vote on the most interesting ideas and form teams with diverse skill sets. You can come with friends, but you’ll get the full experience if you participate in separate teams. Remember, it’s all about the team.   Your idea should be something you have not previously worked on. The idea you pitch and the problem you set out to solve can span social, educational, financial, environmental, or other issues. Over the course of the weekend you'll be challenged to create a prototype of your MVP, or minimum viable product, that fits the needs of your target customer. You'll get feedback, iterate, and likely pivot your approach entirely! Important: You cannot have worked previously on your idea.   Techstars Startup Weekend is a full weekend long experience. Your ticket includes:

Frederike Asael
Managing Partner / Community Lead

My passion is value-based entrepreneurship: How can we allign purpose, people and profit in our companies and be role-models for a circular understanding of our society and economy? This is what I love thinking & discussing about and acting upon.

I have (co-)founded two companies and am also working in both of them: In the management of the Impact Hub Bern and as a photographer for companies and events throughout Switzerland.

++ The Impact Hub Bern offers a variety of programs, startup incubators, workshops, on average 40 inspiring events a month, not only for our community, but for the greater public. As a Community Catalyst, I create added value for our 300 members by actively connecting purpose, people, and projects. In addition, I am involved in the areas of start-up promotion, promoting female entrepreneurs and creative professionals. I give talks on these topics.

++ As a photographer, I work with my clients to create visual worlds, annual reports or other complex projects or accompany them photographically at conferences or congresses. In my work, I can combine my love for people, my sense for visual esthetics and longing to create stories with meaning.

++ And yes, I am truly thankful to be living a rich, meaningful and fulfilled life with two passions that became my professions. and

Berufliche Stationen waren u.a. die EMPA in Dübendorf, er leitete als Oberassistent eine Forschungsgruppe an der ETH im Bereich Human Factors, war als Leiter der Gruppe Ergonomie & Technologie am Technopark Zürich engagiert, war 15 Jahre als VR und CEO sowie Mitinhaber von zwei Start-up Firmen im Bereich Simulation & Training und Arbeitshygiene tätig und startete das Innovationszentrum für die Fachhochschule St.Gallen.

Sébastien is a well-known figure of the Swiss startup scene.
Séb jumped into the startup world in 2008 and was active during more than 4 years as a startup mentor and business developer for a technology park, before leaving in 2012 to launch his own venture, Coteries (which was at the time, a mobile fan club of musicians, now a digital agency developing prototypes, Minimum Viable Products, web & mobile applications), where he acts as the CEO and as a digital marketer. Sébastien also launched a new venture in the travel space, Sébastien used to be partner & startup scout at TechBridge (Zürich).

Today focusing on innovation in the health domain, Thierry has a fondness for digital worlds, has been a business angel, startup coach, entrepreneur, and head of innovation for the Kudelski Group.

Malika Boussetta

Thierry Moser

Thierry is a young entrepreneur from Biel/Bienne. After working several years in the banking industry in Zurich and studying in Hong Kong for a while, he joined a digital marketing agency in Shanghai. There, he discovered his passion for online marketing and co-founded Artworth GmbH in his hometown of Biel/Bienne. Here, he works closely with companies from the local luxury goods sector.
