What is Startup Weekend ?
The startup movement has accelerated growth in many cities and global industries, and fintech is one the most exciting and rapidly developing industries in the world! The time for entrepreneurs and innovators to work together and invest in their ideas is now. The industry in Switzerland is more susceptible to ideas now than ever before. Our goal for this event is to connect people who are passionate and want to tackle the tough challenges in the financial and fintech industries, all while learning-by-doing, firsthand, what makes a business and an idea successful.

How does Startup Weekend work:
All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54-hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekends culminate with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.

Why this Stratup Weekend will be awesome ?
We are really happy to have super great sponsors which would provide to our participants super cool and efficient tools for any Fintech Startups.
  • eWise will offer us the opportunity to use their API to build amazing applications with account aggregation technology. eWise invented client-side aggregation, a unique way for users to privately and securely aggregate, store and manage their personal financial information. eWISE
  • theScreener will give us the chance to access to independent and objective analysis over financial markets,  and to create smart and accurate Wealth Management applications. With the evaluation of more than 6,000 equities and 15,000 funds, theScreener is the european leader in independent equity analysis with more than 1 million end-users. theScreener

What you can win ?

The winning team would receive an amazing prize ( surprise !!!) and would get 3 months of mentoring  to keep working on the Startup they launched during the weekend. The mentoring program will be set up by our great sponsor HEIG VD.
Last but not least, the winning team will get the chance to show up its product at the NipConf16.

Event language is English.
