Prepare for Weekend
Start to formalize teams and take an inventory of skills. Make plan for weekend and discuss idea in detail. Leave venue by 9:45

Paul Ark
Business

Paul is an investment banker and venture capitalist with PYI, Inc. and an accredited investor with Angelvest, an Asia-wide network of angel investors. He previously worked with Apple and Microsoft in China, and software company Synopsys in Silicon Valley.


Drew Kamthong
Business / Developer

Drew is the co-founder and manager of MAQE digital agency, a creative design agency that helps companies to plan, build, and support innovative products. His company has extensive experience developing educational products such as learning platforms and apps.


Pearl Phaovisaid
Education

Pearl is the director of the Bachelor of Arts Program in Global Studies and Social Entrepreneurship at Thammasat University. She has extensive experience as a teacher,trainer, and coach and has previously worked on edtech projects such as App Inventor at MIT's Media Lab. Pearl completed her graduate degree in Technology, Innovation, and Education from Harvard's School of Education.


Carl Heaton
Education / Designer

Carl is the founder and director of Web Courses Bangkok, a government accredited private training company offering courses in web design, web development, and online marketing. Carl also has extensive experience in the realm of UX/UI and has served as a UX consultant to corporate and multilateral organizations. 


Paul Apivat
Education

Paul is part of Thammasat's GLab for Social Innovation where he teaches and learns from aspiring social entrepreneurs looking to sustain their social innovations. He is interested in ‘entrepreneurship as method’ – the teaching of entrepreneurship through principles of effectuation, bricolage, customer discovery, rapid prototyping and validation. He has participated in both Lean Startup Machine, NYC and Startup Weekend, NYC. 


Carlos Herrera
Business / Developer

Carlos is the co-founder and CEO of Nibl3, a Mobile and Web applications development company for startups of Asia Pacific. He has extensive experience that includes software development and product management where he had hands-on experience with Java, Ruby on Rails, PHP, Amazon Web Services, managing, building from the ground up and scaling large platforms.


Bow Kraivanich
Designer

Bow is a UX/UI designer with over 10 years experiences in website design and development. She received her Bachelor of Industrial Design degree from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok and has since been an essential member of several startups teams in Bangkok. She is adept at coding and deisgn and has a contagious entrepreneurial spirit.


Jeremie Tisseau
Designer

Jeremie is the founder of Morphos.is, a leading UX/UI  agency in SE Asia for apps and web. He is also one of the leading tech community builders in the Bangkok area organizing such groups as bkkweb.org, UXPillar.com.


Unnawut Leepaisalsuwanna
Developer

Unnawut is a lead developer at MAQE creative and digital agency in Bangkok where he has contributed to several edtech projects such as an LMS now in use in several countries. O is also the lead organizer for TEDx Bangkok and plays an integral role for TED events locally.


Sid Kitisakkul
Business / Marketing

Sid is startup veteran with experience building and leading teams for business and technical development. He is currently business development lead for one of Thailand's leading mobile app development providers, Appsynth.


Titipong Pisitwuttinan
Business / Marketing

Titipong is the Co-founder of SkillLane, Thailand's dominant localized MOOC provider. SkillLane has grown quickly in the past year and has plans to expand its content offering significantly in the coming months. 


Zack Siripanyawuth
Developer

Zack is the CEO / Co-Founder of Uteeni.com and Codemy.net. Zack has extensive experience building web product and technical teams. He is passionate about technology education and is a veteran of Startup Weekend claiming top prize in Startup Weekend Bangkok held earlier this year. 



Darin Eng Suthapong
Designer

For the past 3 years Darin has been leading global UX initiatives at Amazon.com to reinvent customer experience on various platforms, from mobile phone to Fire TV. Before Amazon she has been helping startups innovate using bleeding-edge technology, such as Augmented Reality and Gesture control. Her background also includes motion design work for top companies like Google, Microsoft, and Stabucks

Chanya Punyakumpol
Educator

is currently at Project Leader at G-Lab, School of Global Studies, Thammasat University and faculty of the Bachelor of Arts program in Global Studies and Social Entrepreneurship (GSSE): www.sgs.tu.ac.th.  Chanya's expertise is in social impact measurement. She is also a trained lawyer. Prior to joining G-Lab, Chanya worked at  Baker & McKenzie on the finance team and have also worked at the World Trade Organization.

He is also the co-founder and director of EdTech Asia, a community platform for education entrepreneurs that serves to provide a more collaborative and cohesive edtech ecosystem throughout Asia.




Jay Neesanant

Jay is the Founder & CEO of SkillSolved, a social enterprise that aims to solve skills gaps from college to career by training & matching students with meaningful internships. He has extensive experience in human resources, having founded and led an executive search firm and advised & taught students as a higher education career advisor & lecturer.
