Cities become smarter with Startup Weekend!

Passionate about producing products that aim to make our cities smarter?
Join us for the next Startup Weekend focused on making our cities better for living. We’ll be joined by London’s best architects, technologist, urban planners, sustainability experts, government planners, evangelists, researchers, developers and designers to co-create new prototypes to learn, play, share ideas, network, and get inspired throughout the weekend.

This year SW London is an official partner of our current project with the European Commission providing the Startup Weekend community with FI-WARE at their fingertips allowing huge opportunities for European startups and entrepreneurs to leverage the power of big data and begin building innovative products to make cities smarter.

Also we're excited to announce that Startup Weekend Smart Cities is an associated project of this years London Festival of Architecture. The annual festival provokes questions about the contemporary and future life of the city, and promotes positive change to its public realm. The city-wide programme is delivered by leading cultural and academic institutions alongside associated projects by practices and individuals.

The theme Smart Cities means developing city services that make our cities better places to live - everything from sharing economy to crowd sourced urban planning applications, Swift mobile payment systems and smarter home technologies to overall improvements in the way we connect across cities. It's wide open to possibilities and can't wait to see what our entrepreneurs produce!
