Josef Dunne
Co-Founder/CEO @ Babelverse

Josef is Founder & CEO of Babelverse (which aims to bring seamless communication between all languages) a startup that began at a Startup Weekend Athens in December 2010 and changed his life forever! Since then Startup Chile, 500 Startups and SV Angel invested in Babelverse. Today, Josef is currently based in London, which is also his hometown but has lived and visited many countries over the past 5 years including Greece, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Poland, San Francisco, New York, Japan, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, South Korea, Singapore, and recently Romania where he took his team to live and work for 1 month in a Transylvanian village, throughout this travelling he was growing the community of linguists and raising awareness of Babelverse and acquiring a lot of knowledge about starting up abroad and the differences between cultures.

Before Babelverse, he was a Web Developer working in a corporate environment for 5 years. He can assist you from business strategy, going global to web development and more.

Marisa Todd
VP Product & User Experience at Depop

As VP Product & User Experience, Marisa Elena Todd oversees product strategy and design at Depop. Before joining Depop she led the global Product and Experience Design teams at Farfetch, launched new businesses for Gilt Groupe, and relaunched AOL/Huffington Post’s Style & Home properties. She began her career in Silicon Valley building products for early stage and high growth startups. Marisa is a board member of the Ethical Fashion Forum, a non-profit dedicated to sustainable manufacturing and labor practices.


Alan Greenberg
Director and Investor at Career Foundry

Formally Director Apple Education EMEA, then Asia, 2004-2009. Led the team who built Education Podcasting, launched iTunes U, developed Apple Education mobile implementation and adoption. Currently advisor, mentor, investor and project manage early stage education technologies and healthcare start ups. Portfolio of education technology companies in London, Berlin and Palo Alto. Mentor at Microsoft Ventures Accelerator, and Telefonica WAYRA Accelerator, London.


Claire Calmejane
Director of Innovation at Lloyds Banking Group

Claire is an innovative intrapreneur, recognised for her digital & fintech thought leadership, obsessed by customer design and driven by achieving challenging goals with a track record of building high performing teams. Claire joined Lloyds Banking Group, 30 million customers and 80 000 employees in October 2012, where she was instrumental in building the innovation function and the digital people strategy. Prior to joining LBG, Claire spent 7 years consulting in Paris, Boston (US) and London, building robust organisational and analytical skills and leading the phase 1 of a research program around digital transformation at MIT. Her research paper has been ranked as one of top 5 thought leadership pieces across consulting publications by Source. She is an advisory board member at Startupboocamp and is currently one the ambassadors responsible for promoting women in technology at her engineering school EPITA. Claire holds an HEC masters degree and was recognised as part of their young talent in 2014. 

A key area of interest of Claire is financial inclusion and she is sponsoring an open innovation challenge with the government on this topic in March, as well as being ambassador of LBG in London through Go ON London and local activities.


Linus Dahg
Early Stage VC at Wellington Partners

Linus joined Wellington Partners in 2014 with the Digital Media and Software team. His primary role is identifying investment opportunities and building relationships with the great entrepreneurs behind these companies. Prior to joining Wellington, Linus was an Investment manager at Almi Invest in Stockholm, Sweden. At Almi, Linus focused on early-stage companies and led Almi's investment in 5 startups and managed 3 additional portfolio companies. Linus spent 2.5 years at Almi before joining Wellington Partners in London. He also served as a board member or observer for 5 of Almi Invest’s portfolio companies. In addition to building a career in Venture Capital, Linus also founded TF Strategies, a Stockholm based consulting firm focusing on trend intelligence, market and external environment analysis, strategic direction, deal sourcing, screening and business analysis.

Romain Huet
Developer Advocate at Twitter

Romain Huet is a software engineer and entrepreneur. As a Senior Developer Advocate at Twitter, Romain is focused on driving success and adoption of the Twitter platform products with a particular passion and expertise for Fabric, as well as being the face of the developer community in Europe.


Marcus Greenwood
Cofounder and CEO at UB

Marcus is Co-founder and CEO of ubio and has built several technology companies since 2006.

The ubio Automation Cloud powers direct bookings for several of the leading travel metasearch websites and apps. They use robots to automate the booking of flights and hotels directly on supplier websites with zero integration required.

They operate on a SaaS model and are more than 10 times more cost-effective than GDS platforms.



Sofia Quintero
Founder and CEO at NomNom Insights

Sofia Quintero is the founder and CEO of NomNom Insights, an application that helps businesses make sense of customer feedback faster. Previously Sofia was the Head of Growth at Geckoboard and digital marketing instructor at General Assembly. 


Amalia Agathou
Fashion/Tech, Strategy and Innovation Consultant, SW mentor & organiser

Amalia Agathou has more than 12 years of experience in the European startup ecosystem and the creative industries as an entrepreneur and innovation consultant.

A firm believer in innovation fuelled by cross-border and and cross-industry collaboration, Amalia has designed and worked on numerous international projects that merge various industries with the world of startups, like EDF Energy's Pulse Awards, Global Fashion Battle and CFE's Fashiontech accelerator.

An Information & Communication Systems Engineering and Fine Arts graduate, Amalia has co-founded e-skafos.gr, worked for Conde Nast, London College of Fashion, The Next Web, Studio XO and more. Most recently she helped set up and led as Head of Innovation, Havas UK innovation hub, Havas X, that looks 18 months ahead of the curve at emerging trends across media, tech, culture and data science.

 Agathou is an active mentor and advisor at several entrepreneurial communities and accelerator programs like London Fashion Fund, Blooming Founders, NEF and Techstars.


Thomas MacThomas
Head of Marketing

Tom is the marketer in residence at early-stage VC platform Forward Partners. 

He is an award winning growth marketer, having gained experience heading up the marketing function at high growth daily deals site Wowcher, online gaming firm William Hill Online and more recently the mobile app Bizzby. 

Tom helps the Forward Partners portfolio startups with marketing strategy and support, everything from PPC all the way through to TV.


Jonas Altman
Managing Partner at Social Fabric

Jonas is Managing Partner at Social Fabric, an award-winning strategy and marketing consultancy. As a design strategist, he helps organisations launch commercial ventures and develop remarkable communications.

With over 20 years of experience in the creative sector, Jonas has partnered with leading organisations including Sony Music, BBC, Tate Modern and Google. He set up London's premiere lifestyle and technology accelerator and is currently helping pilot the UK's first hardware incubator. 

Jonas is an adjunct professor in entrepreneurship and innovation, business advisor and writer. He is co-author of 'Business Design: Curiosity to Strategy' and a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and The Guardian. Jonas regularly speaks on creativity, entrepreneurship and the future of work.


George Mills
Associate at Arts Alliance Ventures

George is an associate at Arts Alliance Ventures, which invests in and starts companies. He is a board observer at Kebony, and co-founder of Growth Street. He started his second company at a Startup Weekend in Kansas City during 2009, which flamed out violently after 2 weeks.


Maciej Smolarczyk
Customer Success at pitchXO

Maciej is currently helping grow pitchXO, which helps startups find and communicate with interested investors. 

Before pitchXO, Maciej spent 3 years working for Rocket Internet in Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. He worked at Lazada Group, a Rocket Internet venture, which has become the first unicorn in South-East Asia. 

He will be able to assist you in areas of strategy, marketing, finance and operations.


Tiana Sinclair

Tiana Sinclair is a London-based product consultant and founder of EventSlides (Eventslides.co.uk), a real-time content platform for conferences and events. Being an advocate of emerging technologies she runs the Future Tech Track (futuretechtrack.comevent and annual conference for early technology adopters and is often looking for contributors in that space.

Jessica Falkenthal
Education Community & Growth Marketing Strategist

Jessica Falkenthal leads growth marketing, community building and experience design for education startups, schools and nonprofits. She serves on the SXSW EDU Launch Advisory Board and CUE SF Board.
Jessica loves creating engaging education experiences and  previously managed a dozen online learning communities, coached early-stage education entrepreneurs, grew the Startup Weekend Education program worldwide, founded her own education startup, led professional development workshops for hundreds of educators, and designed and taught technology classes for the Boys and Girls Club and 4-H Youth Development programs. She is also a community organizer for the SF Edtech Happy Hour, 4-H, Startup Weekend Education, and Education Startup Digest.
