Your idea brought to life in 54 hours!

Being an entrepreneur is about taking control of your own destiny. Whether you're working in a boring day job, graduating and have no idea what your next step is, or just need to focus and be creative for a weekend, Startup Weekend Sheffield is for you!

3 days to learn how to be an entrepreneur!

Startup Weekend is a worldwide movement that brings together entrepreneurs, designers, developers and startup experts to build creative solutions to the world’s most pressing problems -  all in one exhilarating weekend.

Maybe you’ve got a world-changing idea that can be brought to life through technology, entrepreneurship and some solid elbow-grease? Perhaps you’re uninspired at work and looking to take part in something a little different?
Over the 54 hours from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon you’ll be thrown into the ideal environment to connect with some amazingly talented individuals, discover your own entrepreneurial journey, learn what it really takes to found a real company and start building your way to success.

You’ll pitch your ideas, form awesome teams, speak with real customers and access experienced mentors, before finally taking to the stage to present to a panel of seasoned entrepreneurs with backgrounds in design, development and startup investment.

Learn how to validate assumptions, design products that have value to your customers, and build scalable companies. All this without having to write a pointless business plan or sit through another 'advice session'.

No matter what your skill-set, you're guaranteed to find your creative spark at Startup Weekend Sheffield. Come and be a part of this global movement right here in Sheffield.

Buy your ticket now before it's too late!

What do you need to bring?

Lots of energy! You'll pitch your own idea or listen to others, then vote on the most interesting ideas and form teams with diverse skill sets. You can come with friends, but you’ll get the full experience if you participate in separate teams. Remember, it’s all about the team.

Your idea should be something you have not previously worked on. The idea you pitch and the problem you set out to solve can span social, educational, financial, environmental, or other issues. Over the course of the weekend you'll be challenged to create a prototype of your MVP, or minimum viable product, that fits the needs of your target customer. You'll get feedback, iterate, and likely pivot your approach entirely! Important: You cannot have worked previously on your idea.

Techstars Startup Weekend is a full weekend long experience. Your ticket includes:
  • 7 full (and delicious) meals over the course of the weekend
  • Benefits and discounts from our global partners
  • One-on-one time with amazing mentors
  • A new network of developers, designers, and entrepreneurs eager, like you, to change the world.
  • All the internet and coffee you can consume.
Watch the video below to see what you can expect, and if you’re feeling inspired click on the “Buy Ticket” button now!
