Randa Al Himyari
Owner and Co Founder of Dubai-based Petit Bout Chou and Potentiel nurseries

Inspired by my Leaders driven by passion – something we see continually in her involvement in #mydubai, where that passion is sparked further into seeking ever-more-progressive ways to enhance the UAE’s prominent image.  Inspired by baba Zayed, she grew up with a big sense of gratefulness to her ancestors who not long ago, endured hardship on daily basis when the UAE’s no.1 business sector was pearls trading.
As a child, the stories of these pearl traders left their impression. The difficulties these sailors endured while diving into the unknown, equipped with nothing but faith & hope for a safe return to their land, and families. She grew up appreciating what today’s generation is offered; a sea of opportunities in addition to pearls.
Randa started her career with one question in mind “How can I give back to my community?”, and it was no surprise that she chose Corporate Social Responsibility as her first footstep into the corporate world. But perhaps, at a later stage her entrepreneurial spirits (along with motherhood!) finally highlighted the course she wanted to follow:  it is the life of the children in the UAE that she wanted to enrich.
Randa took vocational qualifications in early year’s education, & child management leadership.
Today, she is Proud being an Emirati Entrepreneur representing her country, a member of Tejar Dubai & Tejar Dubai entrepreneur Council. She is also an active member in Al Ihsan Charitable Society, as well as Royati. With an exponentially growing community of Emirati and expatriate children living here in the UAE, she started realizing her dreams by co-founding a distinctive French nursery in Dubai – a nursery that focuses on leadership. She adamantly believes that every child is a future leader when nurtured appropriately. Today, another dream was born, Brio Prevention, Intervention & Inclusion ( ECLD) a specialist Centre that foster and develop basic learning skills for children from 6 months through 10 years of age. The Center aims to meet the needs of every child in the UAE’s diverse socio-cultural community.

Hunter Lee Soik
Head of Global Community at Dubai Future Accelerators

Hunter doesn’t really believe in limits. Since he was a kid, he's always seen obstacles as opportunities: to make ourselves vulnerable, to learn about each other, to stretch way beyond our boundaries.
Looking at life this way is generally exhilarating. But it can also be exhausting. So a year ago, when his work with the Watch the Throne tour wrapped up and he suddenly had some free time, Hunter did what most of us would do. He slept. And in that sleep, the deepest I had in a very long while, he dreamed of SHADOW.
SHADOW is the world’s first alarm clock that helps people remember and record their dreams. It transcribes your dreams, pulls out the keywords, strips away any data that could identify you, and pushes it to a giant global data cloud—where other SHADOW users can see global dream patterns and find dreamers like them around the world.

Zaid Farouki
Founder of Zaid Farouki Atelier

As an Arab American - educated in the Italian fashion techniques, I found inspiration in the fusion of cultures. Imagining a woman adorned by European clean cuts, true American liberties, and the ever-existent Arab dramatization has helped me to create the globally hybrid woman, a representative of a new globalized world and the woman whom he yearns to design for.

My pieces create a cross between fashion and art as the wearer and the painting become one. My pieces are all hand painted by myself, all hand made and abide by couture techniques, embroidery, and finishings.  My creations are not limited to just being painted but also include wearable sculptures and light installations.  Having studied both art and fashion I have come to believe that the way people will consume art in the now and in the future is for art to be portable and reach the most people possible. Therefore, we have also rejected the fashion system, and do not produce seasonal collections as art never gets old. We suggest themes, where we can always go back to and produce pieces from anytime we want.

In the process of finding a theme or an inspiration I create traditional paintings and sculptures to express my thoughts and inspiration. These paintings and sculptures can assist me in paving the way to design, paint, and sculpt my wearable art creations.  Please find attached a lookbook that will further showcase my wearable work as well as a catalogue that will preview some of my paintings and sculptures.  Please keep in mind that the lookbook represents my inspiration and theme of this collection, as I create one-of pieces, inspired by the theme, I collaborate with art galleries and boutiques studying its buying trends and customer/collectors preference to present our customers/collectors with specific one-of pieces targeted to them. Collectors are always informed that these pieces are not to be placed in their closets but rather on a mannequin in their homes as it is part of their art collections.
