Clement Cazalot
Managing Director of TechStars

Clement Cazalot is an entrepreneur, angel investor, and startup advisor, and now focusing on working and advising early stage startup. 

Clement Cazalot is currently Managing Director of Techstars Boston, leading the expansion of one of the most prestigious, impactful and founder-friendly startup accelerator and early stage investor in the world.

Previously he served as VP Technology at Intralinks (NYSE: IL), until its acquisition by Synchronoss (NASDAQ: SNCR). There he created from the ground up both R&D and Product Design business units, to re-build the company infrastructure and next generation products. Intralinks provides secure software to all the banks in the world. The company is part of the top 10 largest SaaS companies in the document management space.

Before Intralinks, Cazalot was the co-founder and CEO of docTrackr (accelerated by TechStars Boston in 2012) that was acquired by Intralinks in 2014, after having partnered with industry leaders among which Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk, and Box. He built the company from its inception in the south of France, until the point where their technology was deployed to 99% of the Fortune 1000 in the US, four years later.

Cazalot has been featured in a number of publications, conferences and recognized by peers and media alike for his information security expertise. He holds a both Master of Science in Intelligence & Innovation from Universite Aix-Marseille (France) and a Master of Business Administration and Management from Ecole de Management de Marseille (France).

Entrepreneurial professional with 25+ years of industry experience in multiple areas of business operation looking to lead a motivated team on challenging problems. Jennifer Bailey

Jennifer Bailey’s areas of research and teaching expertise and interest include innovation management, operations management, and entrepreneurship. In particular, her research focuses on how firms manage risk and uncertainty. For innovative firms, her current research examines the innovation development process to identify effective strategies which firms can employ to maximize the likelihood of generating innovation breakthroughs, while mitigating innovation risks and leveraging opportunities for learning from failure. Jennifer was the recipient of the 2015 Best Paper Award at the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) conference for her research on innovation management. For entrepreneurial firms, her research explores effective strategies which can be employed to mitigate the operational risks and challenges faced by start-up ventures. Jennifer is the Faculty Advisor for the Babson Operations Club and the Faculty Advisor for the Technology, Entrepreneurship and Design (TED) Concentration. She currently teaches Integrated Product Design (MOB 3578) - which is a collaborative business/engineering/design course co-taught by faculty from three colleges: Babson College, Olin College of Engineering and Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Jennifer is currently the Faculty Director for the Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (CWEL ), serves as a Coach for the Babson WIN (Women Innovating Now) Lab and as a Mentor and Workshop Trainer for Mass Challenge. She is a Board Member with the Boston non-profit, Arts Connect International (ACI).

Amy Robinson
Executive Director of EyeWire

Amy Robinson Sterling is the Executive Director of EyeWire, a game to map the brain. EyeWire crowdsources neuroscience, challenging hundreds of thousands of players around the world to solve 3D puzzles and map out neurons, allowing neuroscientists to chart synaptic connections and model circuitry.Sterling has advised The White House OSTP and the US Senate on crowdsourcing and open innovation. Under her leadership, Eyewire’s neuroscience visualizations have appeared at TED and in Times Square NYC. She helped create the world’s first neuroscience virtual reality experience. Sterling curates the NIH 3D Print Exchange Neuroscience collection, which features several 3D printable neurons discovered by Eyewire gamers. Fast Company credits Amy with “making neuroscience into a playground for the hot tech du jour.” Sterling has written for Vice, the BBC, Nature, and Forbes. She tweets @amyleesterling.Amy is a long time TEDster and founded the TEDx Music Project, a collection of the best live music from TEDx events around the world. Howie Hecht

Tamir Jacob

As an entrepreneur on a mission of positive change and forward thinking, Tamir is part of the International Association of Innovation Professionals, focused on championing world changing innovation through high impact social entrepreneurship.Tamir is currently on the International Council for Small Business and is a member of USASBE focused on furthering social entrepreneurship in the community. Jerome Selva
Vice President, XaaS Acceleration Watson & Cloud Platform

Jérôme Selva is Vice President - XaaS at IBM Watson & Cloud Platform.  He brings extensive experience in leadership, business management, transformation, integration, finance and talent development.  His mode of engagement, focused on outcomes and cohesive teaming, results from his work in a wide array of international, headquarter, transversal positions covering consulting, finance, strategy, acquisitions, operations, manufacturing, product life cycle, development IT, design thinking and agile methodologies.   Since November 2016, Jérôme leads the XaaS growth initiatives for IBM Watson & Cloud Platform, with the primary focus to support a high double digit MRR growth, through radically redesigning the business and operations models via a fully instrumented end-to-end discovery-to-advocacy platform.

Giovanni Carraro
Director of World Wide Sales

Giovanni Carraro is the Director of World Wide Sales for IBM Business Analytics, based in Boston, MA. In this role, he oversees sales and client success global teams covering the Business Analytics product portfolio, which includes Cognos Analytics, Watson Analytics and Planning Analytics. Giovanni first joined IBM in 2008 through the ExtremeBlue internship program as a Product Manager. Since than he has held multiple staff and leadership roles across IBM, including Product Management, Strategy, Finance and M&A. Giovanni has been part of the Business Analytic organization since 2013, when he was appointed the Chief of Staff to the General Manager. Since than he successfully run the OpenPages product line, turning around a declining business and releasing the first version of the product on Cloud, and most recently Giovanni led Strategy and Business development for Watson Analytics helping the business grow out of the R&D lab into a profitable business. Before joining IBM, Giovanni worked as a semiconductor engineer for International Rectifier, now Infineon Technologies, where he held both technical and product management roles. Originally from Italy, Giovanni holds a graduate degree in Microelectronics from University of Pavia (Italy) and a MBA from Harvard Business School.


Jay Neely
Creator at Boston Startups Guide

Jay is a digital maker / marketer, startup founder, and community builder. Active in the Boston startup community for the past ten years, Jay has been a Startup Weekend participant, winner, and coach; a Startup Institute instructor; and organizer of the BarCamp Boston tech conference. Currently Jay runs Boston Startups Guide, a community resource site dedicated to bringing more attention to Boston startups and resources for them.

Innovation Women is an online speaker bureau for entrepreneurial, innovative and technical women. We connect event managers with great female speakers.

Innovation Nights is a free monthly product launch party & networking event that has grown into a local innovation economy mainstay. Sinan Erzurumlu

Sinan Erzurumlu is an Associate Professor of Technology, Innovation and Operations Management at Babson College. Professor Erzurumlu’s research and teaching interests span technology management, supply chain and operational innovation, social innovation and sustainable entrepreneurship.Sinan takes an operational lens to decision making and risk management, focusing on how entrepreneurial firms set up and improve business models by leveraging operational constraints around resources, processes and the resulting capabilities. In particular, he studies the relationship between operations design and business model innovation to stimulate technology commercialization and growth. He also examines corporate social innovation and sustainability strategies for established organizations and startups.Through collaborations with academics and practitioners, Sinan participates in applied research projects in a number of different industries including mining, food, clean tech & energy, and high tech. He utilizes qualitative methods, like design thinking to address new insights about a problem, and mathematical models of decision making to guide strategic decisions with rigor. His research has been published in several leading journals including Production and Operations Management, IEEE Transactions, Decision Sciences, Resources Policy, and Omega.At Babson College Sinan teaches courses on technology and operations management, operations strategy, environmental management, and sustainable entrepreneurship at the undergraduate, graduate, and Executive Education programs. He values building an innovative character as the driving force for startup and growth. Sinan was named among “The Best 40 B-School Profs Under the Age of 40” in the 2015 Poets & Quants ranking of Business School professors.Prior to joining Babson, Sinan has worked as a project-based consultant for Dell on service operations and as a research engineer for Center for Space Research at the University of Texas at Austin. Philip Greenwald
