Create the Decentralized Change you want to see in the World
A worldwide movement is underway to redistribute centralized bases of power, authority, control, access and other aspects of interactions with tools, services, entities and relationships. Just as the internet fundamentally changed the world, these models—aiming to decentralize almost everything you can imagine—are poised to do the same again.
Techstars Startup Weekend - Decentralize will enable you to find the right people, right tools, and the right idea to put your stake in these new markets.
Do you have an idea you'd like to pursue or a problem you'd like to solve but don't know where to start or who to start with?
Techstars Startup Weekend - Decentralize is the place to look for a team, create a prototype of your idea, validate your business idea, and receive feedback from experienced entrepreneurs, all in one weekend.
What do you need to bring?
Lots of energy and passion! You'll pitch your own idea and/or listen to others, then vote on the most interesting ideas and form teams with diverse skill sets. You can come with friends, but you’ll get the full experience if you participate in separate teams. Remember, it’s all about the team.
The idea you pitch and the problem you set out to solve can span technical, social, educational, financial, environmental, or other issues - we hope centered around our theme of decentralized systems. Over the course of the weekend you'll be challenged to create a prototype of your minimum viable product (MVP) that fits the needs of your target customer. You'll get feedback, iterate, and likely pivot your approach entirely!
NOTE: You cannot have worked previously on your idea.
Techstars Startup Weekend - Decentralize is an immersive full weekend long experience. Your ticket includes:
- 7 full (and delicious) meals over the course of the weekend
- Major benefits and discounts from our global partners
- One-on-one time with top-notch mentors
- A new network of developers, designers, and entrepreneurs eager, like you, to cultivate a more decentralized, equitable, and just world.
- All the internet and coffee you can consume.

Her mission is to spread the word and promise of these philosophies on a global scale and to make an impact by teaching these ideas. She is the Producer of the Creative Business Cup—Adventure Zone featuring a business pitch challenge focused on human performance entrepreneurs.
