Event Judges

Steve Nolan
Managing Principal

Binary Ventures is the third software company I’ve founded. Thanks to my co-founder Christy Harner, I was finally able to build the software company that I’ve always envisioned. Its the perfect blend of our collective passions: creativity, technology and people.
With over fifteen years of experience in the application development space, I can say there is no better feeling than helping an entrepreneur realize their dreams by successfully launching their product or enabling a Fortune 500 company to reinvent themselves, gain efficiencies or mobilize their workforce by leveraging technology.

Christie Kahil
Program and Resource Manager

Christie is an artist, educator and writer who brings her passion for creating a better world to her work with businesses and non-profits. She promotes a space where social enterprise, the arts and entrepreneurship intersect to empower people to be agents of change and transformation. Originally from South Florida, she moved to the Queen City in 1988 and now feels almost like a native. After working with educators, artists and non- profits, Christie decided it was time to meld her entrepreneurial spirit, education experience and talent for management to help social entrepreneurs build their businesses while making a positive impact on our world. Christie has an MA in Global Studies, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D in Management & Technology.
Christie will be presenting best practices for using the Business Model Canvas.
