Marketing and Business Development at Design By Humans

Update: Now helping grow Design By Humans in a Marketing and Business development role!

Post Auctiva, I focused on the startup community here in Chico, CA. I spent most of my time helping to build an incubator/shared office space for local startups and joined two startups as well in a PM type role. My high level focus was to help these startups grow via translating founder vision into live web-based products.

David Rahn
Director of e-incubator at CFE

I began my career as a software engineer for Teknowledge, Inc. in Palo Alto, developing commercial
Expert System applications for Fortune 500 companies.  I held a range of positions including Product Manager, VP Marketing and CEO, always with a passion for working on innovative new-product teams.

Strategy and Entrepreneurship are my teaching areas at Chico State.  As the director of the e-Incubator program (part of the Center for Entrepreneurship) I enjoy coaching students and doing whatever I can to help our team create success stories.  I recently created a new course for our entrepreneurship program, “Web-Based Entrepreneurship”, which adopts many strategies from the popular “lean startup” approach.  My current book in progress “E-Business for Entrepreneurs” is designed to inspire and guide non-technical entrepreneurs in their pursuit of building online businesses.
