3rd Annual North Dallas Startup Weekend

This year's North Dallas Startup Weekend theme is Fitness!

Get ready for 54 hours of fitness, tech, and entrepreneurship. Coaches and experienced entrepreneurs will be available to mentor you and your team as you develop brand new startup ideas and business plans. Last year's Startup Weekend projects included a variety of technologies including augmented reality, smartphone applications, mobile games, and interactive fitness equipment!

So whether you want to learn how to start your own gym / personal training business, side hustle as a yoga instructor, or you want to start the next FitBit, this is the event for you. All skill sets are welcome to participate, and we strongly encourage graphic designers and software developers to divide themselves up evenly among the teams so that each team has a strong mix of talent. All attendees will get: education on the lean startup methodology, event t-shirts, swag from sponsors, and all meals/snacks/drinks are provided! The top 3 winning teams will receive awesome trophies, recognition on our blog, and exclusive prizes/discounts from our sponsors. Awards will also be given out for the Crowd Favorite, Best Design, and Most Creative. The winning team will get to interview with Seed Sumo, a highly competitive Texas-based startup accelerator.

Winners from 2016
Winners from 2015

Lastly, we will be inviting fitness instructors and yoga experts to the event to facilitate team building activities, morning stretches, and breathing exercises to keep the energy flowing. On Friday night, Lorna Jane (women's active living apparel company) will be setting up a pop up shop at NoD with all merchandise 20% off and a $500 gift card raffle prize.

Tweet us at @FitnessStartups with any questions about the event. See you at NoD Coworking on July 28-30th!
