Bek Abdullayev

In 2013 Bek founded Super Dispatch which eliminates paperwork and automates the transportation process for companies in Automotive Logistics. Super Dispatch is a mobile platform that helps transportation companies eliminate paperwork, manage fleets, track shipments, and integrate with existing software systems.


Matthew McDonald

Matthew guides the engineering team as we implement products to help contractors be more efficient. They have a marketplace for owners to lend out their idle equipment, and we provide telematics so that both owners and renters can make informed decisions on how to best use their equipment.

Randy AufDerHeide
Co-founder and CPO

Randy was born and raised in Kansas. After graduating from the University of Kansas with a

degree in Business Administration & Advertising in the mid-1990s, he worked at several large

telecom companies. He eventually started his own IT company that focused on helping small

businesses with a specialization in registered investment advisory practices.

In 2013, Randy, along with his 2 business partners, started blooom - the nation's first online

platform for managing individual clients’ 401(k) accounts. Blooom’s mission is to fix one million

401(k) accounts for younger investors.

Randy has been married for almost 15 years and has two daughters.

Sally Williams
Consultant – Technology Development & Commercialization

Sally Williams is an entrepreneurial leader with exceptional ability to identify, develop, and commercialize products/technology.  She has more than 30 years of management experience spanning a wide range of innovation and marketing positions with Bayer Healthcare, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Ralston Purina Company, Frito-Lay, Inc., and ALCOA.  She has successfully led businesses from start-ups to nationally-known brands, including leading development and commercialization of more than 100 new products that collectively generated more than $1 billion in Year I revenues.  Throughout her career Sally has produced impressive revenue, market share and profit growth through innovative ideas, insights, products, and relationships.   Today Sally uses her knowledge and experience in management and innovation to assist entrepreneurs.  She is a Consultant in Technology Development and Commercialization at the UMKC Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC).  Through the UMKC SBTDC she coaches start-ups and small businesses and facilitates adult learning and course training for Kansas City area entrepreneurs and UMKC faculty and students.

As a Business Tchnology Consultant I have a solid technology foundation, helping business owners and entrepreneurs implement unique strategies using effective technology systems for business growth. After leaving college early, as a self-taught developer, coder and experienced IT Business Strategist, I've had a successful career being a part of brands such as Kellogg's, Microsoft, Conoco-Phillips, Bridgestone, J G Wentworth, and others to identify daily business processes and develop client-specific solutions. 

Founder & CTO of Techquity Digital, LLC. I'm dedicated to investing in technology. I am looking for opportunities to work with companies on a consistent basis in the areas of business and digital strategy/marketing, and technology consulting.

My extreme passion for technology drives me to mentor youth in underrepresented communities to encourage career paths in technology, engineering, and the arts by using project-based lessons. Through conversational talks on Entrepreneurship, Tech Innovation, and Personal Branding I strive to inspire a new generation of leaders to gain professional development and the skills required to succeed in STEAM-related careers.

Alex Krause
Program Manager at Techstars KC

Alex is the program manager for Techstars Kansas City. She is obsessed with founders. Alex writes on topics on women entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs of color, and research on the Techstars blog. Prior to Techstars she was at the Kauffman Foundation where she led the research agenda on diversity, and helped build entrepreneurship research in academia. Her side hustle is making her english bulldog, Ebenezer, famous on Instagram.

Graduated from University of Tulsa (undergraduate) and University of Denver (Graduate) and then moved back to where I grew up (Kansas City) to partner with some friends on small projects/businesses, several of which are on-going. I have worked in Wyandotte County for the past 6 years in economic development and workforce and have begun working with VantEdge Partners, a private investment group based in Kansas City.

Shannon Okuonghae
Director of Marketing

Shannon Okuonghae is the Director of Marketing for LeaveLogic, a Seattle-based tech company that is revolutionizing the Employee Leave Experience through technology, automation and design. In her role, Shannon is responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing, communications, and public relations as well as business development and product design. With over a decade of experience in Marketing and Communications for educational and non-profit organizations she brings a unique skill-set to the tech industry and would be well on her way to becoming a full-stack marketer - if that was possible.

Catina Taylor
Founder & President of DREAMS KC

Catina K. Taylor, a native of Kansas City, began her teaching career in July 2000. She responded to the call to fill the teacher shortage that was occurring in the Kansas City Public Schools.

Working in public and private schools for the last 17 years, Catina has a developed a clear lens into education. She has been actively engaged with parents, teachers, civic leaders, politicians and administrators in both suburban and urban educational landscapes. She is also a constant advocate and resource for parents and colleagues.

Catina has completed both the Lean Lab Fellowship and is a most recent graduate of the 4.0 Tiny Schools Fellowship where she just completed the initial pilot of DREAMS KC.

Catina has several degrees including a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Paralegal Certificate from Avila University. In 1999, she received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. Catina also completed several hours at Rockhurst University in the Masters of Education program. She is certified in the State of MO to teach high school Social Studies.

Quest Taylor is social serial entrepreneur specializing in Product Creation and Software Engineering. Quest uses his extensive business & technology knowledge and passion in helping other entrepreneurs build out their dream business ideas.
Quest has a strong passion for helping others in achieving their goals and dreams. Quest is the co-founder of Pennez, and is using his skills in technology to help increase the reading skills of illiterate diverse children using artificial intelligence.
Quest has a very diverse background from technology, high tech, retail, and business. In 2010, Quest created BTP (Beauty To The People) Hair, a successful online beauty store. BTP Hair went on to raise funding from outside investors, and eventually made a successful exit in 2014.
Present day I work full time as a founder of ProjectUK, helping Minorities and Women led startups to create new technologies, innovate new ideas, and receive infusion support.

A 15 year active duty US Navy veteran that worked for Naval Intelligence as a Chinese Linguist and Training Mgr. After getting out he went back to college, but not for long as while there he came up with, tested and developed an algorithm that matches cool people with other cool people. Then after a two years of testing started Get Social - The new old-fashioned way to meet people, as the Founder and CEO. Tyrone is a steering committee member of TechSparks: a social forum for Entrepreneurs, in Pasadena. A co-organizer or the Innovate Pasadena Friday Morning Coffee meetup. A Startup Weekend (SW) Facilitator and lead organizer of multiple events including the first ever SW geared toward underserved students. Most recently Tyrone partnered with the Pasadena NAACP and Innovate Pasadena to help empower and teach underserved kids in the area about the opportunities available in the vibrant Pasadena tech and startup world.
