Bill Holden
Founder at Roadiy

As long as he can remember, Bill was always an automotive enthusiast and technology lover. He began work in the industry at a very young age. Having worked in both the automotive and tech industry, Bill fused his passion for cars whit his desire to help people and Co-founded Roadiy.

Roadiy is looking to disrupt the outdated automotive service industry by uniting dealerships onto their platform, in order to deliver a new car maintenance experience that consumers can trust and depend on.

Roadiy is a grant recipient and graduate of the prestigious National Science Foundation Innovation Corp program in Silicon Valley. And most recently was awarded with acceptance into Facebook's FB Startup Program for promising mobile startup companies.

Bill and his team have recently launched their Roadiy's pilot program in the greater Los Angeles and are laying the foundation of the next fastest growing startup.

Noramay Cadena
Co-Founder; Make In LA Hardware Accelerator

Cadena is a cofounder and Managing Director of Make in LA, the first hardware focused accelerator in the Greater Los Angeles area.Previously, Cadena spent over 10 years working across multiple large complex hardware products at The Boeing Company - from airplanes to satellites to space transport. She held P&L accountability, led large cross-functional teams, and led affordability and lean initiatives in various regions across the country.

Cadena holds an MBA, a Master’s in Engineering Systems and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering – all from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In 2013, Cadena co-founded the Latinas in STEM Foundation to inspire and empower Latinas to pursue and thrive in STEM fields. She is actively involved in the community through STEM outreach, Latina mentorship, professional development and volunteer work. She also serves as mentor to students applying as undergraduate students to MIT.
Cadena is a national speaker and has participated in the World Summit on Innovation & Entrepreneurship, TEDx Boyle Heights, multiple keynotes and conferences. In 2014 she was named one of the top 20 Latinos in Technology by CNET and in 2008, she was highlighted as the Most Promising Engineer by Great Minds in STEM.Cadena currently resides in the Los Angeles area with her daughter. 

Eli Calderon-Morin
Founder & Curator MoMo Silicon Beach

Eli has been at the forefront of tech disruption as a team member and advisor to some of the world's fastest growing mobile-first platforms: AdMob (acq Google), SnapTell (acq Amazon) Alohar (acquired Alibaba), InMobi, OpenX, Appfuel (acquired Tune).. 

Over the last decade, Eli has gained expertise in the areas of mobile innovation, startup growth, developer evangelism, corp dev, M&A, strategic partnerships, sales, business development, revenue growth, product management, operations, and business strategy globally & within the US. 

Eli received his education from the University of California Irvine, the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and most recently the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is the Founder & Curator of MobileMonday Silicon Beach (a non-profit) and holds numerous advisory positions in the mobile industry. Eli currently lives in South Pasadena, California

Jim Cooper
CTO - Braid Theory

Jim Cooper, CTO, at Braid Theory, specializes in helping early stage startups, in emerging technologies fields of clean tech, transportation, biotech and life sciences, agriculture and food tech, and automation. Jim has over 20 years of experience and has assisted over 300 companies achieve success by guiding them from proof of concept through pre-revenue to commercialization. His expertise includes market intelligence, market sizing, market validation research, economic development, small business issues, competitive analysis and strategy, supply chain optimization, market entry, IP and standards compliance audit, production analysis and strategy, business planning, and SBIR grant assistance. Prior to co-founding Braid Theory, Jim led market research firm, Conscientia Research. As a coach and mentor for the entrepreneurs and new technology innovators, he was engaged in various technology demonstration projects, including emerging technologies applicable to port operations and goods movement industry, including for the NSF i-corps Program   

Barney Santos
CEO @BLVDMRKT and @Gentefy

Barney was bit by the entrepreneurial bug at an early age when he started selling handmade key chains at the Santa Monica Pier at age 9. Several years later he used that same ambition to start and grow several for profit businesses, including FieldExperts, which was the largest field inspection company in South Los Angeles, managing over $400 million in toxic bank assets. 

Since then Barney has worked on several initiatives that included launching a non-profit, co-founding a Global Innovation Fellowship program and teaching entrepreneurship at CalStateLA, USC, and Pasadena City College. Currently Barney is the Entrepreneur in Residence at CalStateLA's Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Penelope Lopez
Hacker. Maker. Doer. at CyberCodeTwins

Penelope Lopez is a first-generation Latina born and raised in East Los Angeles. She has received various awards in tech competitions and hackathons such as the NASA International SpaceApps Challenge, AT&T Developer Summit, and many more. Together with her twin sister America, started a tech company known as "CyberCode Twins" to make communities safer thru wearable tech and mobile apps. Recently they were asked to speak at a TedX Talk about "The Hackathon Effect" in Los Angeles. Penelope is a CalStateLA student majoring in CIS and interested in cybersecurity.

Frank Barragan
Founder & CEO of Ad Inicio

Frank Barragan is a Web Developer & Entrepreneur from the San Fernando Valley.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Cal State L.A and has worked in the technology field for over 14 years at different capacities including Tech Support Rep, Web Developer, IT Manager and now Founder of his own Web Design Company.
Frank has served as President of the SHPE Greater San Fernando Valley Professional Chapter and as Vice President of Public Relations for his Toastmasters club.
Frank’s sums up his core values in three words: Education, Personal Development, and Community. He loves to travel, read, and improve on his piano & salsa skills when he has free time.

Emilianos Ellinas
Co-Founder at WhiteCoat Healthcare

Emilianos Ellinas is a Greek-Cypriot tech aficionado with an educational background in law. He completed his Bachelors in Law at the University of Buckingham in the United Kingdom followed by a Masters in Law at USC’s Gould School of Law. Before that, he served as a sergeant in the Cyprus National Guard for 27 months where he trained and led groups of soldiers and cadets of the tank infantry. While in Greece Emilianos worked for the legal department of Universal Music Group and is an admitted member of the Cyprus Bar since 2012. 
Currently Emilianos is undertaking his Masters of Science Degree in Entrepreneurship & Innovation at USC's Marshall School of Business. Emilianos is now working on his tech startup, WhiteCoat Healthcare, an Uber-like on-demand house call service for Healthcare which began as a USC class project and has since managed to attract VC funding and is operational in Los Angeles and Orange County.

Lawrence Cisneros

Lawrence Cisneros is the co-founder and CEO of DRNXMYTH (@drnxmyth on Instagram), a venture-backed alcohol technology company that bottles, fresh craft cocktails with their patent-pending technology.  He received his J.D. from USC, and B.A. from SDSU.

Michael Norton
Entrepreneur In Residence

Michael has led over 60 Techstars Startup Weekend events throughout the US, Canada, and Australia. He teaches workshops, designs programs, and speaks on a variety of topics related to innovation and entrepreneurship.

Michael has worked professionally in marketing technology startups, with big data, non-profit fundraising, customer support systems design, technical project management, educational program development, event production and decor, iOS app design, video games, user testing, prototyping, and in the coffee industry.

His own past and present business ventures include several SaaS web app platforms, photography, woodworking, printing, audio engineering, video production, musical composition/recording/performance, publishing, art curation, operating an Amazon Pro Merchant storefront, and a funnel cake stand.

Michael guides innovative communities to build and nurture regional entrepreneurial ecosystems. He guides corporations through internal innovation and intrapreneurship. 

He frequently works as a freelance business development consultant, crowdfunding guru, technical project manager, and as a marketer — focused on branding, messaging, storytelling, social media, and email marketing.

Michael loves hiking in Yosemite, bicycling around San Diego, eating authentic Baja California Mexican food, and drinking amazing coffee in Seattle.
