Your idea in 54 hours

Join us on November 8-10, 2019 for a hands-on startup experience where you can pitch ideas, join a team, and build a company in 54 hours.
Whether you are looking for feedback on an idea, a co-founder, specific skill sets, or a team to help you execute, Startup Weekend Redding is the perfect environment in which to test your idea and take the first steps towards launching your own startup.

Startup Weekends are 54-hour events designed to provide superior experiential education for all entrepreneurs. Beginning with Friday night pitches and continuing through brainstorming, business plan development, and basic prototype creation, Startup Weekends culminate in Sunday night demos and presentations. Participants create working startups during the event and are able to collaborate with like-minded individuals outside of their daily networks. All teams hear talks by industry leaders and receive valuable feedback from local entrepreneurs, and subject matter experts. The weekend is centered around action, innovation, and education.

Register today and be inspired to take action. It can change your life.

Do I need to have or bring an idea?
No! But, many people come and realize that they already have an idea or come up with one on the spot!

What skills do I need to come?
None! The most important thing to bring with you is curiosity and an eagerness to learn!

Is Startup Weekend right for me?

Jenna Zint
CEO - Turbans For Tots

Originally from North Carolina, Jenna Zint made her way to Redding, California in the mid 2000’s after she finished college. She met her husband, Aaron, while living in Redding and the two decided to stay local and put down roots.  Jenna quit working for a small music label right before giving birth to her first kid and in her new found free-time she started  making headbands for their soon-coming little girl. She made so many, in fact, that she decided to open up shop on Etsy in January 2014 and immediately the business took off with a bang.  Jenna enjoys how much flexibility running her own company allows her and that she has made thousands of mom friends around the world thanks to Turbans For Tots.  Jenna now has three children, but still loves a good spontaneous international adventure…without the kiddos for now…she’ll reassess when they’re not diapers ;)
