Speakers

Jeff Scheur
CEO & Founder, NoRedInk

After teaching high school English for 8 years and grading 15,000 papers, Jeff created NoRedInk to help his students improve their grammar and writing skills. A National Board Certified Teacher, former debate director, and speaker on education innovation, he is intent on improving the feedback loop in classrooms and empowering students to become skilled, creative, and confident writers.

Kate Whiting
CEO @ Educents

Kate is the co-founder and CEO of Educents, the first and only deal marketplace for affordable, high quality educational resources. Although she began her career in education marketing 10 years ago, her entrepreneurial spirit eventually led her to co-found Educents in 2013. The mission behind Educents is to provide teachers, parents and homeschoolers with access to affordable, high quality educational resources. In just one year, Educents has saved educators over $13 million and is used in over 73 different countries (and growing). Educents is part of the ImagineK12 accelerator, and has received an undisclosed amount of funding to help reach more educators with their platform.
