Lifestyle, Health & Wellness: Startup Weekend

This year, Forbes named San Francisco and San Jose the 5th and 6th healthiest cities in America. It’s no secret that the Bay Area takes pride in its commitment to public health and innovation, while encouraging sustainable and healthy lifestyles. This Startup Weekend’s aim is to bring together the Bay Area’s finest entrepreneurs to build solutions for fitness, nutrition and medicine at San Francisco’s first Lifestyle, Health & Wellness based Startup Weekend.  Our goal is to create an environment where passionate entrepreneurs can come together to get things done; to learn, network, bridge the gap between trades, expose potential and see actual results by Sunday's Demo Day.

Founded in January 2007 by Andrew Hyde in Seattle, WA, Startup Weekend is an entrepreneurship foundation and an educational movement for entrepreneurs, established with the support of the Kauffman Foundation. It helps entrepreneurs obtain related education, launch businesses, build networks, learn skills, join global communities, save money, and more. Startup Weekend provides an entrepreneurial business workshop within a 54-hour weekend, bringing business ideas to the stage of incorporation of an organization with its solutions. Startup Weekend has held 1000+ events in 120+ countries around the world, and we are looking forward to making a big dent in San Francisco with our event in August. With the help of local supporters, we are planning to leverage our global reach to impact our local community.
