Roberto Torres
Founder of Black and Denim & President of The Blind Tiger Cafe

Roberto is the co-Founder and Managing Partner of Black & Denim Apparel Company as well as the President of Blind Tiger Cafe, a speakeasy inspired coffee house in the heart of the Historic Ybor City District. He is an entrepreneur specializing in the areas of accounting, audit, operations, logistics and financial services segments. He brings his expertise in retail and operations, both as a consultant and an executive, to assist start-ups and early companies with strategic, operational and expansion plans.


Josh Ebert

A dynamic and respected leader in B2B telecommunications sales and operations, Josh has helped business owners deliver maximum results by providing solutions that make running their businesses easier, reduce their costs, and help them grow - for more than 17 years. Josh brings to Bright House Networks his in-depth knowledge of strategic planning, market segmentation, sales methodologies, and telecommunications solutions which provide a strong foundation that has empowered Josh to execute winning sales strategies and lead highly successful teams. As Bright House Networks Corporate Vice President of Sales and Operations for Small & Medium Business, Josh leads the company’s marketing, sales, installation, and customer service efforts for Small & Medium Business customers. In this multi-functional role, Josh is uniquely well positioned to ensure that Bright House Networks delivers the best overall customer experience in the industry.

Joe Sampson
Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer for One Spark

Put simply, Joe is passionate about helping people and organizations reach their potential. While he's supposed to be "the face" of One Spark, he's quite comfortable pulling the strings from behind the scenes. Joe worked his way through college in the corporate world. Deciding that the cubicle life wasn't for him, he spent the next 10 years starting companies and growing others. As executive director and chief operating officer for One Spark, he's focused on connecting creators from all walks of life with the funding and resources they need to make their ideas a reality.


Sean Bercuson
Entrepreneur, Founder Medycation

Shawn is an entrepreneur and startup advisor with a focus on consumer internet. Currently, he is starting Medycation, a marketplace for elective medical procedures and serves as an advisor to ActiveReplay, American Efficient, and Ringadoc. Previously, Shawn was a founding member and VP of Business Development of Groupon (NASDAQ: GRPN). In September 2008, Shawn joined the ThePoint.com as VP of Business Development where he was instrumental in helping transform the collective action platform, ThePoint.com, into Groupon as we know it today. Shawn was also the founder and CEO of both Prescreen and CapAlly and was a Principal at Lightbank - a Chicago-based venture fund. Before getting involved with technology startups, Shawn was an asset manager for Black Diamond Capital Management, a multi-billion alternative asset management firm with a combination of private equity, hedge funds, and structured vehicles. Shawn started his career as a trader for TransMarket Group where he traded a diverse portfolio of financial products on multiple global exchanges including the Chicago Board of Trade, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, EUREX, and LIFFE. Shawn holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University.


Steve Tingiris
Founding Board Member at Tampa Bay Wave

Steve is a serial entrepreneur who has started and sold three technology companies over the past 15-years.
Currently, Steve is working on his newest company, Dabble Lab - a startup studio that helps organizations and individuals turn technology ideas into market-ready products and new business ventures.
Steve is also a founding board member of Tampa Bay Wave and is heading up the FirstWave Accelerator - a program that provides entrepreneurship education and helps connect startup founders with people who can help them succeed.


Scott Mitchell

Scott is a serial entrepreneurial responsible for the creation of several high profile online businesses. In his early career, Scott founded Tunes.com, where he launched RollingStone.com, TheSource.com, and DownBeatJazz.com. After Tunes.com’s acquisition, Scott went on to serve as CTO of HSN.com and CEO of Think Partnership, Inc. He then launched Affluence.org, which has been touted as Facebook for billionaires.

Alfred Goldberg is the President of Absolute Mobile Solutions, a former instructor at the International Academy of Design and Technology, and a frequent speaker on digital marketing, entrepreneurship, and international trade.

Justin Davis

Justin Davis is founder of Madera Labs, a Tampa-based UX design consultancy, and is also founder of Drawer, a startup helping to change the way people discover new places while traveling. He is a 20-year technology veteran, having launched and built countless products in his career. Justin is fanatical about great design, a user-centered approach to solving problems, and startups that scale effectively.


Darin Lewis

Darin Lewis is the Founder & Creative Director of MEGA. Leading all agency creative, Darin has more than 10 years of creative direction and branding experience for brands and campaigns that traverse many industries, mediums, and technologies. His passion for creating rich user interactions for his clients keeps the company challenged and engaged at all times.


Mitch Neff

Mitch does a lot of stuff. For real. his skills include: digital media strategy, brand development/management, digital analytics and data analysis, and product management. He has worked with the largest tech companies, sports brands and military agencies to improve digital strategies and deliver value from chaos.


Jake Filloramo

Jake has an addiction helping early-stage startups identify who their early adopters are, how to reach them (more importantly, how they want to be reached), and pinpointing what their true pain points are. He is currently the Accelerator Program Manager at Tampa Bay WaVE where he advises 30 early-stage technology companies on how to get from an idea to an MVP and finally into customers and revenue. Outside of his day job (which he loves), Jake volunteers his time by coorganizing the Tampa Lean Startup Circle where entrepreneurs share best practices in lean startup methodologies. Ask Jake about customer discovery, conducting customer interviews, business model canvas techniques, landing page optimization, how to build the right MVP, questioning your customer assumptions and structuring a compelling pitch deck.


Greg Ross Munro
CEO - Sourcetoad

Greg Ross-Munro is an serial entrepreneur and the CEO of two technology companies. He sold his first tech company at 24, and has not been able to stop.
Greg currently runs Sourcetoad, a hybrid-software engineering firm with offices in the USA and Australia. Sourcetoad's team of developers have built applications and games for of clients like Viking Cruises, Jackson Hewitt, Procter and Gamble, Luxottica, the US Special Forces, and dozens of startups.
He is also the founder of Teburu, a TechStars seeded company that provides online ordering systems to small and medium sized restaurants.
 
Greg is a third generation programer, something that is pretty rare. He has three degrees in Business and Entrepreneurship from USF.

Greg grew up in Africa, and has lived and worked in Japan. He delights in good Scotch whisky and suffers from a dark sense of humor, and an incomprehensible patience with beautiful but temperamental British sports cars.

Jesse Curry
Director of Development, Haneke Design

Jesse Curry, Development Director at Haneke Design, entered the world of software development through the games industry, working on several Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii games, eventually leading his own teams. The experience of developing for the games consoles allowed Jesse to make an easy transition to the mobile space. At Haneke Design, Jesse works with a team of talented developers to provide first class native solutions for the iOS and Android platforms while leveraging the latest backend technology to provide robust web services. When not creating next-level mobile applications for his clients Jesse enjoys bicycling, brewing beer, and spending time with his family.


Andy Gold

Andy Gold, Ph.D., is a full-time business faculty member at Hillsborough Community College (HCC), and teaches in the graduate school at the University of Tampa, and the University of South Florida. In addition to his teaching duties, Gold is a co-founder of the HCC Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program, serving as an internal entrepreneurial evangelist at HCC. He is a lifelong entrepreneur having started multiple businesses over the past 22 years. He is the founder of Terrapath, Inc., a social entrepreneurial venture started in 1994.


Beth Kerly

Beth Kerly, MBA, is a full-time tenured business faculty member at Hillsborough Community College, and will join the adjunct faculty at the University of Tampa in 2015. In addition to her teaching activities, Kerly serves as the co-founder of the HCC Entrepreneurship and Innovation program. She actively works in promoting and building community and business relationships for HCC and its students.


Brian Di Vito

Brian has roots in physical design and grew up making websites for all his friends and family. Keeping up with frontend frameworks, he most likes working where the physical and digital worlds collide. He is an Agile advocate and approaches roadblocks as a learning opportunity. It doesn't hurt to take a step back to find the obvious solution –how hard could it be?
