Teams start forming and discussing ideas

Begin Work
Start to formalize teams and take an inventory of skills. Be honest, and direct about what resources and skills are needed for the weekend. You may stay and work as late as the venue will allow

Paul Leone
President of The Breakers Palm Beach

Having charted a 30-plus year career from Certified Public Accountant to world-class hotelier, Paul Leone has his eye on more than the bottom line as President of The Breakers Palm Beach, a position held since 1994.  He has led a renaissance of this 540-room, legendary oceanfront resort and transformed the organization, restoring a strong sense of fulfillment among 2,000 team members and spurring dramatic improvements in customer service and profitability at this historic Italian Renaissance property.  Leone’s successful corporate social responsibility program reflects the company’s deeply embedded values, focusing on his employees’ quality of life, community service and environmental sustainability; his vision always for continuous enhancement. 

Joe Cardenas
SVP of Commercial Lending at BB&T

Joe Cardenas, currently SVP in Commercial Lending Division with BB&T.  In addition to serving last 15+ years in the banking industry, Joe also is Vice Chair of Discover Palm Beach County, Advisory Board for College of Education @ FAU and works closely with several other philanthropic organizations within South Florida.   Graduate of Leadership Florida Class XXVI and received B.S. in Business Administration from Widener University.   

Chris Nielsen
CEO of Levatas

Chris Nielsen is the Founding Partner & CEO of Levatas, an agency headquartered in Palm Beach County.  Chris started Levatas out of his garage in 2006, and has overseen its growth to the 85+ staff that make up the company today.  Levatas is a collection of smart, creative individuals who shape brands and build technology so that we can help good companies solve hard problems. We have a passion for digital, a devotion to understanding human behavior, and a knack for creating beautifully designed customer experiences.

Local client partners include Discover the Palm Beaches, The Breakers, Duffy's, Cultural Council of PBC, Bennett Auto Supply, Schumacher Auto Group, and others, while the agency also routinely delivers work for larger clients such as IBM, Intel, Dell, HSBC, Penn Mutual, HP, Emerson, and Cisco.

Chris Callahan
Managing Director of Startup Palm Beach Capital

Mr. Callahan is an investor and entrepreneur with experience in portfolio management, investing in technology startups, technology funds and real estate, primarily in San Francisco, Boston and South Florida. Chris is a manager of Startup Palm Beach Capital, LLC a private investment fund providing seed capital and mentorship to startups. Chris is also the Founder & President of Startup Palm Beach, an events-based platform and initiative for an entrepreneur resource center in Downtown West Palm Beach. Chris is co-founder of Surfr App, a mobile app for iPhones that helps surfers log their data from surfing sessions and share information with friends

Chic Kelty
Entrepreneur; Inventor

Enjoying a career that began in the early 1980s, Chic Kelty has started, sold and managed 18 different companies involved in manufacturing, distribution, import/export, retail, marketing and consolation, construction services and more.  Company sizes have ranged from as little as 2 or three employees to 180 full time staff and contract personnel. Industries have been as varied as landscape supply, aquaculture, water purification, bioremediation, lighting, furniture, kitchenware, housewares, coffee equipment, education, training, CAD design, tool and mold development, marketing and construction. 
As founder and CEO of Savio Engineering, Inc and International Pond Supply Inc, started in 1993 and 1988 respectively, Chic had the unique experience to be one of the primary founders of an entire industry involved in ornamental ponds and man-made ponds, streams and waterfalls.  At its peak, Savio had offices in North America, UK and EU with distributor a distributor and production network that spanned the globe.
Currently Chic applies his lifetime of experience as Director of KD-USA, LLC, a proprietary product and corporate development company based in Palm Beach, Florida.
